Then we will never get on the right path. We are bacteria that destroys. Machines are replacing humans by the day. What happens when people can't buy things with money because machines have all the jobs? Rich vs. Poor amigo. All out status war.
Wow, maybe you should rise up, be a Revolutionary, I did. Good luck. But, you are just all talk, right? Never done anything for the Cause, correct?

I don't need sympathy. Yes i've been arrested. DUI actually. And I deserved to be punished. I was in a 3 ton vehicle that could take out countless lives. Time machine? come on man get real. That's what conservatives do, outlandish reaches of irrational logic.

No sir. You are being outlandish. And a Che-ist is hardly conservative. You just want to label to make yourself more secure. You say our founders fucked it up, were fucked up, etc. You act like they were slave owners in 1860. But, they were dead. I say they were serious Che-ists before the word existed.

I can't change it and you can act like you can....got a time machine, huh? You are simply crying over you friend's stupidity and you came here for a hug and pat on the back. Surprise!

So, never been arrested for ganga. I thought as much.

The founding fathers owned slaves. SO DID THE REST OF THE WORLD!

You cannot simply change the way a country thinks in a generation or two.

Also, not all slave owners were cruel to their slaves. Even though they thought of slaves as property.

Hell, women were property for longer than slaves! Don't hear you bitching about that.

A country is not a collective mindset, therefore a "country" doesn't think as one. Slavery is wrong, always was, always will be, regardless of how many people endorse it.

But, people change. The very root of our civilization is Rome. Slaves from top to bottom. Treated and mis-treated on whim.

You are trying to say your moral compass can be applied to ancient Rome? They would laugh. It was moral to them.

It was moral to the Islamic Conquest that sold us slaves and moral to the slaves being prize of war. It don't seem right to us, so what?

Your are trying to change history from your perspective of the Present day.

Morals are not absolutes. They are social constructs. But, anybody can have an absolute opinion.

Not trying to change history. History is full of people rationalizing their acts of aggression. I'm trying to change the present and the future, by being what I preach.

They also thought the world was flat back then...guess those old slave owners got a few things wrong, eh?

Yes, but it was highly moral to think (and quite dangerous to think otherwise,) that world was flat, and that slaves benefit from being in Rome, and they also add benefit. One thing is very clear, the Romans didn't think like us.

And the Greeks didn't see it as flat, but they had a very strange view indeed, and they thought time was a loop.

Each culture as a different set of values. So, we can say they were wrong. We can't go back there.. We don't know.

We settled the slave question but we didn't start the slave trade, for example.

When and where in history was the flat-earth concept embraced, let alone enforced? cn

the very root of our civilization is Africa. You can't pick out a point in time and go from there.

Listen, I didn't need a hug. Honestly, all I was looking for was people to agree that pedophiles should lose their driver's license as well. This issue may be more important to me due to my area of work. This whole spiral down history's past at least from me, were things said in response to something said TO me.

Flaming Pie- My OP never indicated right to human beings of the past. If you have the competency to go back and read, they were all responses. I'll admit, the machine thing is out there, I don't believe it to happen anytime time soon. But if you consider the rise in technology and the increase in the unemployment rate(though steady now) one could only start thinking.

You need doubters like me. The world wouldn't be shit if people didn't doubt and question.

Absolute slavery has diminished, replaced by a more subtle kind of control. Pretty slick how they did that eh?

Of course cultures that embraced slavery were "wrong" . A wrong thing cannot be made right simply because it is commonly practiced or endorsed by the many.

You clearly just wanted to hear yourself talk.

You missed the point entirely. Just because something IS doesn't mean it SHOULD be. It strictly meant that why was his drivers license suspended when it had nothing to do with driving? He walked over from another property, no vehicle involved. But someone could come touch your little brother or sister and serve probation.
He was in a boat, yes? w/ a motor? Lucky he didn't get a dui. I don't agree w/ it either. I am an avid fisherman and smoke frequently on my boat. First rule when smoking on a boat in public, no bowls. Doobs only. Where I am at the man is everywhere. You can never be to careful.:peace:

I was under the impression that our very first traces of civilization hail from Eurasia and not Africa. cn

littering bro. I don't even flick my cig. butts in the water. Seriously, the man is everywhere where I am at. I witnessed a guy pull a mess of line out of the water he got snagged on. Instead of putting it in his pocket he threw it back in. He got a littering ticket even tho he pulled the shit out of the water to begin with. Giving tickets for violations is big business here.

so your saying you would rather have a public intoxication, possession, plus what ever else he might throw in there over a simple fine for littering?

Listen, if you don't know the roots of civilization, I can't help. I can assure it is not Africa. We fell out of tree in Africa and got the hell out, then came back, still with no civilization, no agriclure, maybe not even a voice box yet. Then left again spread east and north, still no civilization.

I know everyone is very light on self education and they teach bullshit at school, if this the judge.

Do you not know of the Peloponnesian Wars? (over by 404 bce) Don't you know that these two combants, Sparta and Athens, then banded together against Persia. The 300 Spartans? The dividing line between Eastern and Western civilizations, is there, because of the Hot Gates, Thermopoli?

And then Rome kicked the snot out of them and everyone else, and that is us? Western Civilization?

Damn, dude, the only civilization in Africa to this day is Western import.
