Well, as far as the ladybugs getting sucked out the exhaust, I prepared my room first. I went and I got this curtain made of really thin, sheer material. I cut out a piece and taped it over the fan, so that the ladybugs can't actually go THROUGH the fan, you know? But it doesn't stop the air movement. I hung the rest of it just inside the door, so that when I open it, any ladybugs will be on the curtain, rather than on the door....

lol, you'll have to get someone else to tell you that, since I'm pretty sure there's still plenty of food for MY ladybugs, and I've never done this before. I assume they die, because I've been told they don't eat plants...

I'm actually having fun with the ladybugs. Every so often I have to go in the room and redirect their efforts, you know, give them a new plan of attack. A lot of them die...they're like little kamikazes...

That old march song from "Bridge on the Rover Kwai" comes to mind right now.. the one where it's just whistling...
Is that the one that they whistled in the Breakfast Club? well, a couple of my ladybugs are getting their freak on, so hopefully I'll have some of these larvae they speak of...

A good way to prevent ladybugs from flying away or into your HID, is to spray them down with sugar water. This prevents them from flying away.

Im going to the local hydro store today i think to see what other fun stuff they have to kill mites..
Let me know if you find anything interesting...

The ladybugs are working. I used to see little webs forming at the top of the main cola, and I haven't seen any in a while. Plus I used to see the little mites on the leaves, and I don't see them as much.

But I DO still see them around some of the smaller leaves that are closer to the stem. I get the feeling the ladybugs don't get on those smaller leaves as often. So I'm thinking I should set off that bomb soon...
