FSGTEK Cob Light opened.

I bought 2 of these to start my grow with. I figured I'd open one to see what's inside so I'd have the info to see if there were better cobs I could put in. Unfortunately, I'll need to take a cob off the board to see exactly what those are, which I won't do until I have more lights so I can have one of these down for a bit.

Anyway, for those interested, here's what inside.

What did these cost and can you return them?

$100 per light (bought 2). Yes they are returnable, but 1 is currently in use. You have a better option for around the same price? I recently found the led gardener forum, so will be checking around there for cobs as well as but plan to build my next set of lights. I'm figuring a high side of $15 per cob, for a total cost of about $200 per light after upgrade. I didn't purchase these as a long term solution.

There's a sticker on the side sayn.... Warranty Void if Opened lol Too late.
The six drivers will have to be utilised wisely
Warranty is still good as long as you know how to carefully unpeel the sticker. :-), they are chinese stickers after all.

By "utilized wisely", do you mean don't over spec the cobs compared to the drivers? I figured those would the week link.

Absolutely endless other options for $200-250. Strips, qb120/132's, cobs on pin sinks, anything thrown up on a angle aluminum frame.
Or just buy a Mars hydro new TS model or possible a spider farmer they use a better diode but are more expensive.

But the best money savin tip I can share with ya, would be to use LRS model MeanWell Drivers. They're so affordable and just need to be remotely mounted since they arent waterproof.
