frost advice...

I live in Canada on the east coast. My girls still haven't started flowering yet because i planted them a bit late. I have got a bit of advice from a few local growers saying that you can get better THC levels if you let the plant take a few frosts (2-3). I need as much time as i can to let my future buds get bigger. Because of my late planting and if i can get more THC out of my buds well that's even better !
Any one ever hear about this or have any advice ?

I have to deal with the same situation and have been told the exact same thing by experienced local growers. As long as they're not really bad frosts (only drops below freezing for a couple hours) then the plant will produce more resin to insulate and protect the buds.

Thanks 420 God, i just wanted some one to verify that a few small frosts were healthy for the plant !
If the plants are near your home, consider putting an incandescent light under a bucket, very close to each plant's stalk. This is often enough heat to ward off a light frost.

No frost is "healthy" for a plant. Stress can help increase potency, but not enough to make frost a good thing.

The time to harvest is the morning after a heavy(killing) frost, before mold can set in.
