From Underdog to Wonderdog... I hope.

Ok, so this is going to be my first run with Aero/Hydroponics. I will be growing a few strains, all Autoflower this time around.

Strains:
1 x Vertigo
1 x Sugar Mango Ryder
1 x Big Devil
1 x Jock Horror
1 x Speed Devil
1 x Fast Bud

*Above this will be in a Rainforest 66 Aeroponics
*Below this will be in 5 Gallon DWC

5 x Super Cali Haze

Lights:

2x 125 CFL
1x MH/HPS Switchable

Air Circulation:

2x Regular 6" fans for intake
1x Bionare F150 for exhaust (Packed full of Activated Carbon)
4x 6" oscillating clip fans (in corners for air circulation)

Deoderizer:

1x OZN-jr
1x ONA Mister
1lb activated carbon shoved in my Bionaire F150

CO2:
1x CO2 Boost Bucket w/ pump

Air Pump for DWC:
Eco Air 4 - Four outlet (w/ adj. flow)

Grow Space:
3' x 3' x 7'

Still putting everything together, waiting on the rest of my seeds, and money (July 5) for the few things I still need to get, like the 4x 6" fans, CO2 Boost bucket, and fresh Hydroton, and 5 gallon 6" lid kits.

Also 25 gal mixing reservoir, and water pump with hose to fill the DWC/Aero units.

The grid like thing is one of those wire cubby hole kits... had 1" squares and 1' x 1' panels, I cut out 4" blocks in a staggering pattern,and zip tied them together for my net, which I will weave my CO2 hose through.

As you can see above, there really is no true exhaust ducting. I stole my cat's play tunnel, and it works fine. It has that hole in the middle, which I have pointed towards the dual window fan. The tunnel has a few cheap activated carbon filters in it too. not the most efficient deoderizing I am sure, but the combo of the o2 Generator, and the activated charcoal stuffed in the bionaire, and the few cheap filters... I had no smell for my last grow (6 plants organic, 3 indica, 3 sativa)

By the 6th hopefully Attitude has delivered my seeds, and the grow shop will have the rest of my stuff.

So did I leave anything out?

Moved around the lights a bit, started tucking and ziptieing wires.

Tomorrow:

• I will run the air tubing for the DWC's
• Build a 6 inch platform to put the plants on, so they are raised a bit, and I can drain them.
• Do more research on the perfect place for my OZN-Jr.
  • I do believe where I have it after my teaks tonight is the right place... it is about 2 ft directly behind the intake to the exhaust fan, so basically the Ozone the Jr is kickin out, the Bionare is filtering through 3 decent layers of Activated Carbon, and then spittin it out the "cat tunnel" and 2 more layers of filter... and then to a dual window fan unit to the outside.

I called and made sure that on Tues/Wed the Hydro shop will have the couple things I need to finish out the room.

Still Need:

• 4x 6" oscillating clip fans
• Tower of Power
• Air Hose ( T's)
• Air Hose 25'
• 8' of 1/2" hose for fill hose from reservoir.
• Fresh Activated Carbon and filters.
• 2x CO2 Boost Bucket
• Nutrients (would LOVE a good guide to nutes for Auto/Hydro, the simpler to use, the better...)

all the seeds have been ordered. So far 1 out of 3 packages has arrived, the other is a day or two out... and the last one will be shipped out tomorrow I am sure.

Ok, so I recieved all of my seeds. Germination didnt go the best. So far Germinated I have :

1x Maxi GoM
1x Big Devil
2x Jock Horror ( neither look very well)
1x Cyclops (this one germed wierd as well)
1x Supersonic Crystal Storm (weird Germ)
3/5x Super Cali Haze (2 have just not popped tails... not popped at all)

Hah... this did not happen at all!

The seeds I started... DIED. Every single seed I ordered. Except a few of the freebies that I have going now. THIS WAS NOT THE FAULT OF THE BREEDERS, OR ATTITUDE SEEDS. This was the result of Jiffy Grow Sprouters. The damned things are full of bacteria, and fungus.

Ok, so I am not doing the DWC, or Bubbleponics this run. I have one Soil, and the Rainforest Unit. I took out one of the 125w CFL's, and have been running the 250w HPS, and one 125w CFL, since seed. 1/4-1/2 power nutrients, since seed.

Thanks... most are 6 weeks into flowering... 6 weeks from seed... 12/12 the whole time.

Here is an update. Larger plants are 7 weeks from seed... a few sprouts...

I had a problem with nutes... on my 3 afghani... weird cuz all the others are fine. Well two of them are gone, and I am not sure if you can help me, but there are a few pics of the one remaining... think it will come back? or should I just pull it?

big devil died... all the autoflowers died... I have four plants that were from Freebie Seeds (Dinafem Diesel, Cheese, Industrial Plant, and Super Silver) the others were from bag seed... or i have a few that were handed down from other growers.

what up man! nice grow so far. i was having problems germing my seeds in rockwool. i was trying to start my seeds in rockwool and then put them in my hydro drip system. couldnt get them to germ. so what i did was start them in soil till they got about 4 nodes then transplant them into hydroton. it worked out fine for me and i just harvested 2 autos and got almost 3oz. dont give up man. did u lst or top any of your girls?

sorry man i didnt read ur last few posts. i would pull that plant and make some cannabutter or something with it. she looks really unhealthy. your using 600w? how close do u keep your light? how much nutes do u use when u feed? how often do u water and feed? it looks like u have all the equipment u need to be growing some top self chronic man. do get discouraged man. we're here to help eachother here on rollitup.

I tried to start all the seeds in Jiffy Plugs... they killed all the seeds.


i decided to just pop some seeds in the Rainforest. I started with 4 freebie seeds I got from the tude. (Cheese, Diesel, Industrial Plant, and Super Silver). They sprouted, and I was out of named/fem'd seeds. So I started a bunch of bag seeds, figuring for mainly males. Since then I have gained a DeathStar seed (the soil plant). I have also gained two Chocolate Thai. 1 Bubbah Kush, and one Dumpster as well. (I know which ones are which for the most part, cept the bubbah k and dumpster... gonna have to wait and see)


My nutes are 1/2 Flowering Nutes, for all of them, from seed on. The grow is in 12/12, and has been since seed. I use General Hydroponics Nutes, Diamond Nectar (foliar, once or two days a week), Magical, and SuperThrive. I foliar with water throughout the day. Sometimes, Diamond Nectar, and SuperThrive. I have a CO2 boost, 600w HPS, 2 intakes, 1 exhaust, an OZN-1 (can't smell shit in that room), and a 18' fan in the tent now for inner airflow.

Some of the plants are about 7 weeks old now (the Super Silver, Diesel, Cheese, and Industrial Plant) I have 3 that are about 4 weeks. (Deathstar (soil), Bubba K, and Dumpster). I have 2 Chocolate Thai that about about a week old, and a couple others that are bag seed, and yet to be sexed... who knows what they will be.

The Diesel(img 4709), Cheese (4751), and Super Silver(4717, 4727) had a bad problem with "inexperienced grower". I got some bad information from a friend about trimming them because of a nute problem. Needless to say, they were stunted. The Industrial plant was never trimmed(4729, 4704)... and you can see it is GIANT. (the one in the back left). I topped the DeathStar (once)(4744), the Bubbah Kush (Once)(4715), and the Dumpster(4708, 4752) (quite a few times), since the Dumpster is so tall, I have been able to train it under the net, as well as topping it. It is getting very bushy. There is a top shot of it (img 4737 and 470 think its female, but hasnt proven it yet. The others all have proven female, cept the sprouts, those I am hoping for the best with. Had another sprout pop in a pot today, so... time for the lottery seeds. I'll keep you updated.
