High all :weed:

Can anybody clarify me on this :
I will be receiving a clone from a buddy .. it will be rooted in a jiffy (rockwool cube lol).. but I grow in soil so : how would I go about planting this thing in soil?
I'm a bit suspicious about putting it straight into soil.. because of the water retention properties of rockwool.. could I just split the cube into 2 parts and take the plant out of it as much as I can (done that before but only with germed seeds so it was basically a tiny white stick instead of a ball of roots..) or maybe just eliminate as much rockwool as possible? I really want to avoid root rot..

THANKS EVERYBODY!!!
PEACE

Is it a JIFFY PELLET or is it ROCKWOOL?

If it is rockwool and the roots are not coming out the cube then you need to be a little carefull as the soil will wick the water out of the cube.

So make sure you keep the rockwool moist.

Yeh Jiffy is brand name they make rockwool cubes and peat pellets.. always hated peat pellets as they are wayyyy to moist .. and gross.. just my own opinion.. my clones are going to be comming in rockwool cubes... and yeah the roots are going to be sticking out :)

After you plant it.

If the roots are coming out of the cube when you put it in the soil they should only take a few days Maybe 3 to be into your soil then you can water as normal.

IF you plant it in your soil and the roots are not showing out of the cube then you need to water the cube probably daily to keep it moist so that the soil does not wick the water out.

You see soil will pull all the moisture out of the rockwool when you place it into the soil.
