Friend gave plant to me. Need help IDing issue.

Hey guys, a friend of mine moved away could no longer take care of this plant and has passed it along to me and I've noticed it has what appears to be burning on a few leaves. Before I do anything with this plant, as it's my first I'd like to know what ails it exactly so I can know what not to do from this point forward. I'm not sure if it's a nute burn or heat stress. Could someone point me in the right direction of what this could possibly be?

uhh... Was he using cfls? the back of the leaf looks like a light burn to me but I could be wrong. the tip is def nute burn. Its always good to flush and give some sort of bug and fungus treatment before bringing plants in your room from a buddys or even club mothers and clones. It helps you start fresh and with a semi clean slate.

Thanks for the advice for the bug and fungus treatment! I was leaning towards light burn as well(recognized the tip nute burn but wasnt sure what had demolished the leaf), I'm not sure what he was using, my roomie brought it back from the guys house one night before he moved.... says he doesnt remember what he saw hahaha

Yes, it seems to be doing well under my light. Took extra precautions based on what was told to me here. Thanks, she's still kickin in this hot ass irrigated desert weather hahaha
