Fresh start.. Old worries

I have just started a new grow, 1st one that I have started from seed in a very long time, so I keep second guessing myself. I have 5 lemon skunk seeds potted in 4" pots of washed-out coco coir, inside a vented propagator. The temperature inside the propagator is at 25'c and I have it under a 36watt (2160 lumen) cfl bulb. Should I keep them under 24 hrs of light until they sprout or should I do 20/4 lighting? I have had results before by leaving them in dark for 24hrs first and also 24hrs light straight away on different occasions a long time ago. I have no time for error and really need to give these seeds the best chance of germination and growing. Germinating the seeds before potting them isn't an option, so any opinions of how I have it set just now would be appreciated troops

People do it both ways and while 24 hours lighting does seem to work great I spend a lot of time building my roots so I like them to have darkness. I run 18/6 in my opinion, with my strains, I feel it makes a more healthy, robust plant. I grew 24/0 veg for about a year then decided to try 18/6 and I like it better. Honestly I am not sure one is better than the other but I am sure my bill is less. :)

I always do veg them on 18/6, it's the actual germination and sprouting of the seed cos as soon as I have those first 2 leafs I put it 18/6

Honestly man and the purist seem to hate this but I love an aerogarden for starting seeds of any type but any if the ways you described are fine. Just back off them and don't fuck with too much. That's the number one problem people have

If they have germed yet i wouldnt worry about light at all, unless that is supplying some warmth???

Otherwise... if they have popped i would go with 20/4 light. Ive found that a significant dark period helps speed the growth of roots. With the exception of my last two grows, Ive always run from seed...
