You most likely won't get any free weed in jail. But you'll definitely get all the free cock you can handle. Just so you know. Take plenty of clean underwear. ......................and lube.

I don't expect the dicks will give you your prescribed cannabis, but it would earn you a fat settlement in a lawsuit. Corrections Canada must provide inmates with required medications and if it is prescribed it is required. I have a personal reason for not using or trusting pharmaceuticals and I can quickly make it a mental health issue if they insist on substituting. Denying an inmate medical treatment is a human rights violation. Gotta be worth at least the $10 mil Omar Khadar got. lol

In spite of Health Canada failing to provide a DIN some insurers are covering medical cannabis anyways.

Feb 15, 2018 - Sun Life's coverage will categorize medical cannabis under “medical services and equipment” rather than under a drug benefit since it does not have a drug identification number (DIN). Medical cannabis does not have a DIN since it has yet to be approved by Health Canada under the Food and Drugs Act.

Except HC doesn't recognise it as medicine and it has no number either. I don't feel you'd get any weed.
That's their argument, but mine is it is the ONLY effective medication I will take and forcing me to either ingest pharmaceuticals or go untreated violates my rights. It won't help with getting you cannabis in the joint, but it might be a good case for house arrest or probation instead of incarceration and mega lawsuits....

They will switch you to something they have after having a doctor check you over to make sure that your condition requires any medication at all, you get no say in your medical treatment in jail at all. As long as they treat your conditions in accordance with current accepted medical guidelines there is absolutely nothing that can be done and any attempted lawsuit will fall flat. Inmates are subhuman to the government and most of the general public, they can be used as literal slaves and no one gives a shit because "they shouldn't have committed a crime if they wanted rights".
