Foxtaling

Hey guys, can someone tell me if this is foxtailing or not pls.
Technically yes the buds are foxtailing but it’s important to understand and distinguish between good foxtailing and bad foxtailing.
Bad “ft” is caused by heat stress and results in calyces stacking up, sometimes perfectly on top of one another……it also can be accompanied by very loose airy budding. Generally this mishap only occurs on the tops closest to the light.
Good “ft” really shouldn’t be called “ft” but many people lump it in with the light/heat stressed condition. As a matter of fact, some countries have called good “ft” by several different names…..dreadlocking and king’s crowning are two of the names used to describe it. What’s occurring within the plant is it’s using its last bit of energy to attempt to be pollinated. U notice how thick those pistils are that are coming out? Plus it usually occurs on all the buds on the plant….not just the tops.
I really dig the look and boy will it add weight and heft to your buds.
Maybe if enough people started calling it something else, like dreadlocking, there wouldn’t be so much confusion and negative reactions to something that’s actually a sought after characteristic.
By the way, I’m about a week away from harvesting my grow and one plant is “dreadlocking” like a motha. Now tell me that bud doesn’t have some bag appeal. Hard as a rock too…

part of what happens sometimes is that nitrogen is still high to the end of flower, and then it keeps taking shots at getting pollinated by adding a few calyxes at a time.
