foxfarm nute question

hey guys so i was just wondering. on the bottles of fox farm nutes it says use it every other watering.. but on the feed chart it says use twice a week. and i only water twice a week. so which do i go by?

im using soil by the way

I use the full FF nute line up. water 1 time every 4 -5 days and go with water, feed, water schedule. This is a soil grow.

your soil makes those charts pretty much only a suggestion

I used Fox Farms starting out (still fairly new, so let me post that disclaimer) and it was very soil dependent. If you use their soil you will use less than recommended, much less. The hardest lesson I'm learning is how to read my plants and act accordingly but once I grew outside using a different method (using cheap time release and water only) I noticed how little "extra" our plants actually need. My outdoor grow is very low maintainence while my indoor grow I was constantly fighting nute burn and lockout issue.

But just for reference i would start about 1/4 strength of recommendations (remember they are in the business of selling you MOAR!) and see how your plants react. It's much easier to correct under fert than it is over.

When plant pictures are that pretty I tend to listen to advice from that poster.

kk thx for the advice all. ive been giving them water/feed/water schedule for veg. and its first week flowering and was just wondering if to give it water or nutes since i gave them veg nutes last week?? i think ima give it just water,maybe some micro nutes. and give some tiger bloom next watering

I think you'll find, as I have, that different strains react differently to nutes. Having said that I would always start at about half the recommended dose... some strains will thrive with more of course but you can always add more if need be... much harder to remove it from your soil than it is to up the measurments incrementally as needed~

I just went straight veg nutes, water, flower nutes. it wont be needed the extra micro nutes.

alrighty thx lokie. just gonna give straight water this time, then next will be flower nutes. it recommends on feed chart to also put in some of the big bloom with the tiger bloom, should i not do that?

yes the big bloom is a ewc "tea" and is used the full grow.
