Fox Farms Feeding Sched.

I was just curious to know if you guys adhere strictly to the fox farms feeding schedule? If not what sort of general modifications do you make. I'm really new so I'm still experimenting...

factory schedules don't take into account different strains, and keep growers from learning to read the plant to ascertain its needs. learn to feed when your plant says "feed me." imo

I follow the read of my plant and use the schedule as a gerneral outline of were i should be. Like for instance i run open seasamy untill i have bud sites showing regardless of how long it takes. I wont do two weeks cha ching than i have to switch to beasty bloomz because the schedule says so, i switch when the plant is ready for it. As far as kangaroots and micro brew i only use them when i transfer plants. Both when first xfered than alternating for 2 more weeks. (i transfet two times a crop.) And i do not use sludgehammer anymore because you shouldnt be over feeding to the point of needing a flush in the first place. But suggest keeping it handy untill you really dial in Fox Farms to your strains.

I also feed with grow big through out flowering depending on the read of my leaves. I also use cal-mag and bud candy along with them. Cal-mag when going from veg to flowering room and bud candy the last couple weeks of flowering.

Some of my strains are going on 4 years now and i dont even need to think about what to give them i just know by looking at them what i need and i definatly dont follow fox farms schedule like when i first started working with them. But for a new strain its not a bad idea untill you get a good read on the plants.

I used to follow the fox farms nutes schedule my first few grows but it always seemed to burn them or in veg a nitrogen overload. You have to really gradually move you plants into that stuff it will burn your plants. Especially in flowering if you followed the schedule for weeks 3 and 4 at full strength your ppm will be about 1600 which was way too much for my plants. Also the fox farm stuff will lower your ph quite a bit i just mixed week 5 of flowering at half strength except the big bloom and it lowered my ph to 4.5 which is not good at all in soil so you might wanna get a ph metter and a tds meter because the fox farms is a good nute to use but the phs after mixing your nutes are way too acidic so the ph up is a neccesity for a superb crop you can just mix them together and not worry about that stuff but you will get a sub standard product as an end result. I have totally cut down on the fox farms like in half and have seen much better results than before. Also you have to keep in mind that each strain is different. Good Luck

I use fox farm for my Kellogg soil.I add big bloom at full strength, and grow big at 1/2 strength every other watering or two, same with Tiger.Don't use the nutes every watering it will burn your plants good.I used that chart too, being a new grow, and kept burning my plants, because I was feeding them the nutes at full strength, and every watering, lol, I'm getting better at reading my plants now. Also just my local tap water in the 209, no ph up for me, because the soil will buffer the soil back to 6.8 in my soil, also my tap water got's a lot of cal/mag in it too.

Ive found that i get healthier plants not adjusting the PH. I use straight FFoF. Also when my clones root i feed them regular feedings but seedlings i cut way back.
