Fox Farms Coco Loco, Questions

So I wanted to buy some cheaper coco for clones/first transplants considering the Royal Gold Coco I love is $30.00 a bag...and it's a small bag : /

So the guy at the store said Fox Farms Coco Loco is good stuff, AND it even says coconut choir on the front of it, if you weren't paying attention or familiar with the product you'd think it's straight coco choir.

It's not. It's ammended with a hole bunch of stuff.

So at first I was pist, but then I remembered I needed to find a good mother mix so I am considering using this probably cut with 1/4 perlite for that purpose.

Anyone have experience with it? I'm a hydro guy and this is totally soil. Fox farms said light feedings twice a week, water when needed. She recommended ph 6.3-7 but that sounds high to me, I would think more like 6-6.5?

Been growing in Coco for awhile now. PH is 5.8-6.0 always - it's considered a soil-less medium. Even when mixing with soil I still keep it at the same PH. I have always used General hydroponics brand, $11 a bag (compressed brick). It fills up a 30 gal tub when expanded. I also use the LUCAS formula (google) with coco.

Ok just reviving an old topic here since there is still next to ZERO info on this damn coco loco!

The SAME exact thing happened to me squiidbily! I went in looking for coco and the dick head hydro guy sent me out with this. I'm on my first grow and 50 days in using ph perfect MGB by AN. I thought I was going to flip to flower today but now I'm all sorts of confused after I just got off the phone with FF and they said the ph should be between 6.3-6.7 Now AN ph perfect adjust the ph to about 5.8 and this is what I've been using for a little more than a month! Now I have a feeling that I'm going to have all sorts of issues with ph and am completely lost on whether or not I should flip to flower or flush out the AN and go with FF nutrients to match the damn product!

Never again will I take advice from the rip off artist hydro store guys. I swear they're like sleazy car salesmen!
