Fox Farms causing red stems on newly rooted clones?

I recently put a bunch of newly rooted clones in FF Ocean Forest soil, with nothing but extra perlite added, and now the stems are all red as hell. Anybody else ever have this happen? I just switched to FF soil, and was wondering if it's a little rich for those little gals?

Also, I had them in 8 oz cups for 5 days while i was waiting for the FF soil, and had them in MG soil at the time. The stems weren't red yet, but I was thinking that they absorbed too many nutrients right before the transplant, then had a slight delay turning red. Or...were borderling overfert, and then the rich FF soil pushed them over the edge.

First off your clones are the same age as the momma so red atleast to me is a normal occurence. It really depends on where you took your cuttings from. Ideally you want to take cuttings from soft healthy growth. While i have had clones root on harder bark like surface, they do seem to root better on fresh green soft tissue.:leaf: Good Luck

Are you saying that FF has low P levels? I'd be shocked to hear that, after hearing all the hype about the stuff. Also, they've only been in the soil for a week, in 1 gallon pots, so there's no way the depleted the soil yet.

Also, I've been cloning for 6 months, 6 different strains,(3, at the moment, and they all turned) and never had this happen before while using MG soil(mixed to my own specs). None of the mothers are red either, except one that I had an overfert problem with. Hmm.....
