I'll be honest I have never used it but I hear the bx is the better one. True? It's sphagnum and peat, right?
No, it has the mycorrhizae fungus in it to help promote better root growth. I havnt tryed all of the so I'm no sure which is the best, but this ones pretty good in my opinion.

Ever gotten anything from the USA? The US doesn't make anything but debt, shitty cars and homeless Vets. So no, not too much. Some of that Chinese stuff ain't that bad though!

I'm about to start a grow in some stuff called batch 64 moonshine.
I live in colorado and this stuff is made in colorado and supposedly formulated especially for cannabis. That's what sold me on it. some guy at a grow shop gave me a big spiel about how great it is though and that it's only hot for 60 days.
he put a big emphasis on the "only hot for 60 days thing" like he was trying to suggest if you use it and don't use any kind of nutes, the nutes in the soil are plenty. It seemed to me like the idea was to veg a plant, transplant it, flower it, and about 60 days into flower the soil is almost spent up pretty much, which is fine because you would be about ready to start flushing anyways.

anybody able to clarify any of that for me?

i used to use this stuff, it works best if you mix it with 1 part perlite per 3 parts ffof, it doesnt have enough perlite in it. also dont start seeds in it. i just had a res of 6.8 water and if the run off shifts between 6.2-6.8 you are perfect

After buying ocean forest and fox farm....heres my observation. I like happy frog better! We all know its less hot, but I really havent had anything burn in ocean forest. I just dont like all the wood chips in the ocean forest. Each bag I get has more and more bark chips in it. Im paying for rich soil not wood! The happy frog has some wood too, but it is far less, and they are bigger log style pieces, that are easier to pick out. Just my two cents!

i once found like a giant chalk ball inside a bag thought it was a mix of soil and perlite compacted but was really salty and broke up into like a powder that drew the line for me with fox also all the dead burt plants that keep turning up with it

I have to admit I have never lost a plant or burnt anything in ocean forest or happy frog. They also support green healthy plants four weeks easily, with no nutrients. However all the extra fillers, and bark, lead me to believe they are thinning down this rich soil. I will be trying roots and a few other known soils for comparison.

Dead, burnt plants are most likely not caused by the use of FFOF alone, but rather by using nutes too soon in an already nutrient rich soil. Look at all the posts of people never burning anything with this soil- myself included. Your hatred of "yank" products from your earlier posts is clouding your judgement bro.

for me Ocean Forest alone has NEVER burned a seedling or a transplant on it's own. stop feeding your seedling plants full strength nutes, or amending Ocean Forest with so much kryptonite. Know what your talking about before you open your mouth!
