Fox farm lst grow

Yeah, I use a little from time to time. I do not use nutes during veg, only soil and water, occasionally I will throw a low dose of flowering nutes in to flavour the soil.

I came to this practice by growing 2 clones side by side, one nuted during veg, one not, there was no noticable difference in growth pattern during veg or yield at end of grow.

That is some pretty LST work, I have used wire previously, but now use jute string for it's versatility. I like the bushiness and tight nodes of your plants :)

Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

As for strain, the strong bright leaves are an unknown hybrid to me at this point, when the plants are a little more mature it will be easier to tell, but nothing I personally recognise.

There is a strong indica influence in there, but they are clearly a developed hybrid, rather than a pure indica or sativa.

Flowering nutes have lower N ratio's. Not what you want during veg. FFOF is hot, I usually don't use nutrients at all until 2-3weeks in.
Yeah I realized that when I was looking at the npk difference in vegging nutes and flowering nutes. So far I have not had any problems with the FFOF soil being hot. Plant 3 got a little burnt from being to close to one of the lights but thats the only problem I've had up until now.

I'm guessing the indica/sativa ratio is something around 60/40, but who know?

Thanks for the info!

So tomorrow I'm probably gonna transpant them into bigger pots and add some more soft white cfls. I'll have around 175w running. Also I'm gonna LST the plants as much as possible so I will have more colas in the end. Switching to flowering in 13 days so stay tuned!

My only advice here is, be sure you are ready. I have seen plant developement stunted by transplanting too early and the roots not being able/willing to make the push out of their original volume as a result, which in the long term led to smaller plants and tight, tangled root patterns.

I let the soil dry, tip her up and look at how the roots are looking at the edge of medium (eg: where it touches the pot walls) and now only transplant if I see root running on 25% or more of the medium. If all you see is a small amount of root material, pop her back in, give her a good water and look again in a week.

Very helpful. Thanks!

So it might be a minute before I can get those pictures up so basically the bottom set of leaves [the very first leaves that ever sprouted] on plant 1 are yellowing. What should I do? the plants need more nitrogen but the only nutes I have are for flowering and I can't afford anything at the moment. Hit me with your best advise! What would you do in a situation like this?

hey man i got some pics in a few days that will blow ur mind, I usually let the little girls grow in the cups for a month b4 transplanting and let me suggest going out and buying a new generation led...they deff grow and veg way better then cfl and last years man. What ru plannin on transplanting them into? I use three gal grow bags for ones i start flowering two weeks after translpant to let their roots settle in before production time. Remember less is more wit nutes and that usually is the problem cause Ive grown in ffof with just water and they have turned out pretty descent.

I plant on transplanting them in about a week into 1 gallon pots, then vegging for about another week. Right now I'm feeding with 1tsp of molasses per gallon. The plants are already used to the molasses since I have been feeding them since the beginning with it. I can't afford an led right now man, no money. If I had some money it would be getting spent on some vegging nutes anyways. lol and I cant wait to see those pics!

dude dont sweat the lower ones being yellow, just use plain water if u think ur over nuting it, my plants usually have the lower ones turn yellow somewhat cause im pretty sure its just ur babies adjusting to nutes
