Hey guys been reading alot and I started my first grow ever in a aerogarden elite I have 6 lowryder sprouts in there now they have been growing for 3 days now and i Just bought a bottle of fox farm big bloom nutrients. Is this okay to use for the entire life of the plant (due to my lack of money that i cant buy all three bottles) also if this is okay how much should i put in when should i start and so on? thanks a lot for any of your help guys.

Big Bloom is an excellent part of a series of nutrients. It's fairly weak and recommended in early stages mostly. You will not be able to raise a plant on BB alone. BB is a weak nutrient made up of organic nutrients. Look at the analysis on the back, and it should become obvious why you can't use it alone. You are going to need a good N-P-K fert and then a micro nutrient fert, or an all around liquid fertilizer. You can probably get by with Shultz All Purpose Plus. I would normally never recommend that first, but if you are broke, you are broke.

If they gave you nutes, by all means, use them... :) People swear by that garden. You won't need to any BB until the plant begins to show signs of needing food, when it's very first leaves begin to yellow. You can give them a very diluted amount before then to aid in root development, it's hard to burn a plant with BB, but seedlings are very tender.

I used BB for my seedlings, I also mixed it in my flush water.

If i were you i would go to your local hydro store and buy sum maxi bloom use it at 7g a gallon its a powder that if used at 7g a gallon is pretty much the lucas formula u can use it threw the whole grow for a new grower this is ez and cheap and it has great results i personally use the Gh micro and bloom and use the addback lucas formula never haveing to change the res and keeping the ph and ec always steady hope this helps peace.

Forgot to add from clone start off with quarter then half str up to full str and for tho and useing gh micro bloom its 8ml gal 16ml gal

Auto's don't need nutes until after 2 weeks. I think most seeds in general (depending on quality) have enough nutrients for about 2 weeks... So you can start adding your bloom nutes after the 2nd week (just ph'ed water until then).

As far as ratio goes... follow the fox farm mix chart, Aerogardens hold 1 gallon.

And... 6 is too much for an AG, especially Auto's (big rooters), most people do 1 or 2.. maybe 3.

Okay so I will hold off on any nutes until after 2 weeks, and I know I germinated 6 hoping i would get 3 females so hopefully that will work out. After 2 weeks I think Ill go ahead and start using the big bloom in combination with the schultz all purpose and see how that works thanks guys!

Ok, thought you went feminized seeds (I know, but it helps)....

I'm 2 weeks away from finishing my first auto grow. Something that doesn't get mentioned much is that auto's are more nute sensitive so start with 1/2 strength nutes and work up.

Good luck and take some pics!

so I added a tablespoon into the full reservoir I woke up this morning and saw that my plants had grown a lot but were getting yellow and some had some burn on the veryy edges but not bad all. Probably too early with the nutes huh having only been a week and a bit, I changed most of the water I'm not too worried hopefully they will recover anyone got any recomendations for me just going by the fox farm schedule.
