Four Strains at once/Grow journal

good question I was thinking of waiting another week or two. what do you think?

Are they all indica dom? Not sure about the maui.....I would take clones wait a week then flip it.

Just in case. I would really just be looking for a mom off each strain right now. You can see how these plants grow out....next time...you'll know when each REALLY needs to have the lights changed. Based on how they grow. And you'll have all ladies.

And you can have some smoke in between the grows. A learning experience with a payoff. Thats a good thing.

I would clone now then root/sex clones. Toss the males and the plants they came from...then flower the female plants.

Keep the cutting for a mom. While the plants flower...get the clones into medium and now you have a mom for every strain.

Yeah it will. But getting a mother will keep you "in the green" indefinitely. Not cloning will only give you the bud you grow now...then start from seed again. Get some mothers man. Having moms of 4 strains......cmon man.

Clone moms is where it is at.
You can put clones straight into 12/12 and have buds every 2 mo's if you want.

Takes alot of the time out of the equation also you know they are female.

And knowing is half the battle.

and just think... you'll know your moms by the end of this month after cloning, rooting, and letting them sex... and let them finish flowering for a bit of bud to smoke before your big harvest


this then allows you to get rid of all plants in your veg room except for the 4 moms... allowing you to amass an army of clones for as many flowering plants as you want... haha

or you could get it rotating so that yoour harvesting a different strain like every 2 weeks... just gotta get the timing down for that...

Yeah...you'll have alot more options. An army of clones....That just sounds like a good thing.

You could do 12 plants a agin later....3 of each strain...all female. Possiblities.

yeah but the point I am making is shouldnt I wait until I know the sex. I will be sexing the babies in a bout a week,. Why clone makles if I dont have to? I have the extra space and light so why worry?

Please keep the suggestions coming I appreciate them.

cuz cloning while flowering can cause some unwanted shock to the babys... not saying it'll destroy them... just saying why take the risk if you don't have to? whats an extra week?

i dunno... thats how i see it... i wouldn't mind wasting a few rockwool cubes or bit of soil to save some shock

yeah also the ones that I choose for moms will not be kept in flowering. I know I will get no bud from her. I just want to confirm sex and then rotate them out

ok, heres a good reason not to do it that way...
its gonna take another week or two until they are sexed
then another week or two until they revert back
so you might not even have your moms till the end of this month... with no flowering bud...

if you take clones now...
by the end of the month, you'll have those same moms all vegged out and toped so they are nice and bushy to be mommies
plus you'll have whatever clones leftover that were not male flowering for some more immediate smoke... then you add another few clones, then a couple weeks later a few more, then another couple weeks you throw some more in (and probably taking out the original clones you had in there at some point soon...)

thus starting your continous harvest much sooner... =]

hmmm ok nice nice but are they strong enough right now to clone? and what about the few I want to actualy flower all the way. I have 15 plants now and only like four will be moms................

need advice so I can make a descision. thnx guys

and I can wait till the end of the month for the moms because I have seedlings coming behind these and I will take at least 6 all the way for smoke...............

yeah, just top them like three or four nodes down, and clone the toppings... that'll get you on your way to making nice squat bushy moms...

plus, whatever females you don't end up using for moms (well, atleast lets hope that there are more than one female of each kind) you can also throw them into the flowering chamber too... they'll just flower as a normal topped plant would

that way, when flwoering, your not wasting a bunch of space with bigger males... you'll just have the smaller clones and select females flowering from the get-go...

ok well I am going to hold off a few days as I am awaiting some lights I ordered to arrive. But I will do it .............

that'll also help with flower different strains... you can adjust the different lights to differnet heights if need be...
