found some holes

Left the house this morning with 21 clones. Got to the spot I was gonna grow in and someone had dug 12 holes. They weren't there 2 weeks ago.

Not sure what I should do. brought the clones back home. My partner says we should just rob this fucker. We're gonna go back after the full moon to see if he planted anything. Kinda scared he might get spooked since we drove in his trails, which are really my old trails.

I already had a few plants near there too, worried about them a bit.

Exactly, maybe throw a trail cam out there.

Could it have been an animal? Or was it human dug holes for sure?
Oh it's human for sure. perfectly round with 4 equal pieces of sod cut out. The dirt all turned.

a trail cam is a good idea too
Yea that's what my partner said. I'm scarred I'll spook him though, but I can prob find a good hiding spot for it.

i would still leave a note. you don't want him to come back especially if you are going to grow somewhere on your property. let him know you know and that should be sufficient to scare off the intruder.

The note is a good idea. You could just tax them. Let them know your taking half if they want to use the spot. Or make them think the po po found it. Leave a cop or dnr business card.

Probably best to find a new area for your own green, unfortunately .

If it's your land, you need to leave 'NO TRESPASSING' signs at the trail head and at the grow site they had dug holes at. Of course making it obvious you are aware of their presence. That should be sufficient to scare them off.

It's a small world huh? Best to let them know you know so they fuck off if it is in fact your land. Don't rob them, don't tell them you want half just make them go away. They won't come back and you can go ahead and do your thing. Trails are a bad thing and you should make an effort to stop making them, there like super highways to pot :).

Trail cam for sure. Who knows it could be someone you know being an idiot and how to approach the situation. Or maybe some kid on foot who lives close by. That would probably call for just spooking him and giving them a verbal lashing. You said trails and mentioned driving up them so I'm assuming you live out in the country. Kids explore trails. Some kids get industrious and decide to make fat stacks growing dope. Hell my first germinated seeds were when I was 14 and they came out of my dad's stash can. Stole em 1 or 2 at a time maybe once a week. Planted em up a dusty old trail.
You could probably guestimate the timeframe at least to before or after the last rain by how the soil looked after it was turned. If it's all fluffy, light, dry and dusty up top then it probably hasn't been rained on.
Regardless what you do with them is your right since they're on your property. If you wanna keep em do like someone suggested above with the whole police card thing. If you can snag a legit one from a local sheriff's office then do so. Leave a note on the back that says smile you're on camera.

You should capture the fucker and keep him tied up to a tree for several days while you and ALL of your friends take turns beating him daily...worked for my dad when his garage was getting broken into...20 years later in the hood and I bet they still give that garage a wide berth :)
