Found nanners, Should I cut it now or wait

It’s day 56 into flower for this GG. I found a few nanners under a bud. Pulled them out with tweezers. They didn’t appear to have pollinated yet. I have 3 other plants in there. Durban poison-49 days, green crack-35 days, and gdp 21 days. I don’t want a pollinated crop. Don’t know how long it takes for pollen to spread, am I to late? Should I harvest now or wait a week?

IME - remove NOW.

My herm got to the whole crop - I didn't spot it in time and the circulation fans did their job too well. :wall:

On the + side, I have a whole lot of edibles....

Put it outside to finish if you can. That way you’ll at least get something off of it
I thought about that, but I had a shitty harvest last round and ended up scrapping 3 blue dream plants. Ran out of weed so this will help that problem. I got a couple clones going from her so I will give it a go again soon.

My herm was about the same age. Hope you got yours in time!

I dried it after chopping and was pretty surprised - more than decent smoke (other than de-seeding every bowl like it's the early '80s).

nothing worse than a bunch of smashed up bricked together seeds popping in your face.

I didn’t see any more nanners while removing the fan leaves. Hopefully it turns out without seed and don’t pollinate the other plants. I thought it smelt like grapes in a sense, really sweet smell. If I had to guess I’d say it will be about a 3oz dried harvest. I’m happy with that. I just don’t think it’s going to have the GG characteristics I was looking for. It wasn’t all cloudy and amber like one would want. More clear/cloudy.

True - my herm was actually speedy from the early harvest. A similar plant that finished that run is pure couch-lock.

Shit like this is why outdoor plants get polinated when the growers do everything right.

I'd hate to be your neighbor.
I had cut extra clones a couple grows ago as I was relatively new to it expecting some to die, but to my surprise they all made it thanks to Humidity Dome, heat mat, root plugs, and clonex gel. Total game changer. Prior to the use of this stuff, 1in 6 success rate. Now 100%.
Anyway, I now have 2 outdoor plants. Even though they’re only about a foot tall. They’re growing seedless buds that I don’t have to pay for. It’s a perfect learning experience and a totally different growing style from indoor.
I had read of outdoor growers getting pollinated with no males in their plot. I considered that as well. I am not the inconsiderate neighborhood asshole.

Yea I wasnt saying you. Thank you for not being careless. I was saying the guy who suggested putting your nannered plant outdoors to polinate the neighborhood should consider the neighbors before making a decision that can affect others hard work.

+1,000

I live in a pretty small, tightly packed neighborhood (.10 acre is the largest lot), and we all know each other's business --- or so I thought.

Shortly after harvest, I was walking to the corner store when a neighbor flagged me down - "Hey, XXXX told me he doesn't hear your fan anymore and the back of your place smells fantastic. How'd they turn out?"
So much for stealth...

Turns out that most of my neighborhood is growing - about 50/50 outdoor/indoor. So yeah, free-floating pollen is a concern; especially since I just sterilized my 4x4 & everything in it after the last grow (herm).

August thru october must be maddening to know that you need to change clothes and take a shower before going into your tent just incase.

It is now! lol

Actually, most of the neighbors here are really cool. When I had a herm, I immediately took it down and sterilized everything that was within 10ft of it (the cat is lucky he's too quick for me!). At the end of the grow, I sterilized the tent, tools, and the office again. Probably overkill, but I don't want another herm.

I just hadn't thought much on pollen distribution from anywhere other than my own garden since I'm indoor; but finding out how many outdoor grows are on my short little street (and the rest of the neighborhood) was --- enlightening. bongsmilie

I only got 1.5oz from this plant. Buds seemed fairly dense when I cut, but they loosened up and became slightly airy as they dried.
Good news is no signs of pollination on the other 3 Plants in the tent.
