Found a Seed - Saga cont...

Hey Hey Hey:joint:

Well, as you can see it is from what I can see looking real sweet...

Seeing as I still have no clue as I posted in my other posts as to what she is, I crowned her

"King Koi" bongsmilieseeing that the water used has been from my organic Koi pond which is real ripe in organic compost including all the Koi and plecko shit. The water is as pure as water can get in my words and seeing as I've drank it and never had any fish sickness issues in over 5 years of running the pond.

Besides the water, just switched to organic nukes 3 weeks back and today as you can see, this is where my baby is and has given me 8 healthy babies so far which are now growing inside.

This baby has been outside all summer and got a slow start, but is looking good considering this is my first grow of a seed. I had 8 seeds from various sources and no clue as to origin other then one that gave birth to this puppy.

So guru's, what should I do at this stage. I prune off the big fan leaves as our days are getting shorter so as to get as much light to the fruits as possible and also rotate it daily getting the sun to all sides. Hope that is ok...Moving it from patio to back as the sun shifts which is real cool as she engorges me with her aroma as we walk together...he he

So, all tips very welcomed...

ps, I did a snip and force dry-yea I know, but couldn't wait to sample it and wow, body hit, clear/creative minded and happy...lol

The first pic is real cool, as that is taken sunrise this morning overlooking the waterfront with morning mists rising

Any tips?

How much longer should I let her grow before trim?

At this stage maybe someone really knows what she is.

Well, were she is still growing from what i can see and there is still whities pushing even though amber is edging on...

So guru's, what do you think she is or does King Koi sound like a winner:joint:

Oh, any tips pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee,,,i got 8 healthy cuttings going strong indoors at the moment and I'm making a gancy setup that will also include 1watt leds, ionizers and 2 T12 grow flos. The room is 6x8 with a 2x6 and 2x3 area that I will use for baby and mother stages. So, I'll be posting up on that soon once I get some pics. Ha, even got a hidden access as it is built dividing a room into two...

You're doing great. One tip tho...leave the fan leaves where they are. They provide energy, then they turn yellow and die.Good work and good luck.

that is beautiful congratulations. i would try to keep the plant in one position, all plants can "feel" the magnetic axis of the earth, and they don't like to be spun, weed is much more forgiving than most plants but i still always make a mark on the pot to show north when i have to transplant. minor stresses like this cause very small almost negligible loss in yield, but it seems like your doing everything great and it was all i could find to improve on, the fish water is a great idea.

Thanks , seeing this is the very first grow I've ever done, I'm kinda proud of her. Oh, believe me I take real care moving her around and also take care to rotate her as she shows signs towards the sun. As it's becoming fall, the amount of sun is still good but a lot less because of the high cedars, I even take her up on the porch roof to get the last few rays in. Peeps tell me that chilly eves are no harm, but I also know it slows growth, so on occassion she's gotten a warm nights rest.
She, as with all my plants seem to love the pond water and it is totally bio. Filtration is attained through waterfalls and plants. Point is, it's got lots of nutrients and Koi boosted so to speak, thus the crowning name of

King Koi - cause the buds are really getting heavy as you can see and the lower branches lowering under the toll - I gather another week of nukes then start the flush maybe, or let it go till mid Oct before flush. She seems to be a very forgiving plant as well seeing as I've taken some clips to make clones that are starting on a indoor grow of which I will post in another thread as I want to do some led/combo lighting and other tricks.

So, thanks for the praise and tips - will take some hi-rez digi shots next, All the pics are of my cell up till now.

Peace

:joint:Yum yum yum...

Ok, what should I do, should I start flush? Let her go for another week or so maybe?Any helpful tips at this moment would be so welcomed...

Isn't she just beautiful Wow

This baby is now being brought inside if the weather gets ugly but has been grown outdoors all summer. When inside, I put her close the south side window and also give her a 65 w spot grow and cfl just to add a little more help and only is lit the same amount of time that the sun is up.

And, still no idea as to what she is, So, as the saga started we have crowned her

KING KOI

:)

Another question is, can she be restarted to become the mother so to speak. Meaning, I've taken a few clones ( 8 so far) and trying different things with them found here in the forum to see the results. I'm building a stealth grow romm that will have 3 or 4 sections based on the different stages and experiments that have picked my imagination.

The main section is 5x5x10h(Flower group), another which is 2.5x5x10(split in two sections 5h each-veggie and experiment groups) and a 2x3x10h closet (mothers house)

Plus a special herb dryout screened drawer(as it dries, any pixies are not lost :)

All being lit with low watt lighting including 36''side flo grow tubes, cfl's and leds (ok, so I smoked too much...lol)

And, just found another seed from a white widow snack I had, so it just got dropped into the temp veggie section which is lit using 80watt Sungrow tubes(pics soon)

So,,tips tips pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee! Thanky in advance...ps...this is my very very first grow

i would flush but i usually start flush pretty early, it makes it burn really, really smooth, and i do use organics but i think it still makes a difference.next time im gonna try phasing out the fertilizers instead of stopping all at once but i haven't tried yet. wow those are beautiful by the way!

Thanks, if you look, you will see one shows like a double header. And it fact it is, I had snipped two end buds(couldn't wait,,,lol) and did a quick dry smoke test(ya I know, but hey, sat me on the couch with a big smile bro's)

Well, ends up because of the snip she got pissed at me and decided to show me she could double up. Guess it was her way to say take one, leave the other...lol

I've used organics on her for the last 4 weeks or so, before that it was reg nukes for houseplants, but the organic water was always from the pond.

I'm quite proud for a first grow and believe me I'm going to have a hard"glup" chill of a time to cut this baby. Real beautiful plant when you admire her and she seems to really love being loved...lol

Anyone else with any tips or anyone that can suggest how to maybe keep her as a mother and reveg her after snipping.

looks done to me chop her after you flush a couple times
Well, nature can be forgiving if done carefully I would gather. I do a little botanical s with many other plants and even a cut to ground can be done right and regrowth possible. This species from what I've seen is really forgiving and I even did a mid flower sprig cut of which I manicured off the buds and have three clones from 6inchs of a sprig.

Now, I would think if and snipped off the mass bud and manicured it done to a few from what I can see new shoots. Who knows right.

Here's a shoot of the clones I've taken and mangled to see how far I can push her in first/second/third weeks of vegging.

Here's a real newb question...What happens if I just let her plump up for two weeks before doing a flush. Reason I say that is I can still see her spurting growth to lower buds and the king kola is also showing further growth and fatness even though most hairs I see are amber?

an extra week before you start definitely won't hurt anything, i have never tried keeping one alive after harvest, goodluck though
