Found a new spot, and had an encounter

Been searching around my area via satellite imaging the past couple days since my main plot had been jeopardized. I found another great spot and went to check it out earlier. Fall sunlight is going to be great, and the water table is near, so I may not have to do anything but plant, pull males, and harvest.

Well I was on my way out and back to my vehicle when i heard something. It was definaltey walking and looked like a man coming towards me:o What do I do? Well I did what looked natural. Just keep walking straight ahead and say hello, and that I'm out scouting fishing spots for the spring/summer.

Well I got a little closer, and thankfully it wasn't a person, but a rather large deer. Now I know that I'll have to contend with them and raccoons as well, since I seen their tracks out there.

finding the spot is always fun.
i went out on a trail and the first place i saw i knew it was perfect...it was south east facing, with a huuuuuge open area. the soil isnt that good, but i can manage. i knew this place was mine :)

Whew! What a lucky break! Good thing you told him you were out scouting fishing spots instead of deer stands. He'd have probably kicked your ass!

I'll be keeping a close eye on it for the next couple months, but I really doubt that anyone will make thier way back there. Only thing that kinda put's me off on it is the fact that to get there, I have to go down a very steep hill, any steeper and it would be a cliff. With the incline what it is, there's no way that I could carry veg'ed plants down there, so all I can do is germ inside, then plant outside.

Good thing about the spot is that most people wouldn't want to climb up/down the hill either. I'm sure that once there is some vegetation on the ground, I'll end up sliding down on my ass a few times.
