Found a little white fuzz on hash. Now what to do?

Vinegar.

Wet a folded paper towel with vinegar, wipe off mold, leave out in open air to dry and cure completely.
The vinegar smell will dissipate and it is the most effective all natural mold/mildew killer I know of.

What would be the result of breaking up the hash and soaking it in vinegar? Would the vinegar leech the thc (like alcohol)?

PM,

Just a blurb:
Powdery mildew is an obligate parasite, meaning it needs a live plant host to survive. It overwinters as mycelium or cleistothecia on dormant or dead plant tissue. Thorough sanitation and removal of weeds between crop productions can reduce future infections.
Bless,
DZ
After rereading the thread and a lil bit of research you are correct. Powdery mildew needs a live organism to start, and when we are seeing the "white fuzzy mildew" that's the mycelium fruiting body. But that fruiting body can live for months after it's live counterpart has past. Which explains how PM can end up in hash.

OK, I think edibles is the way to go. Maybe try cleaning it up a bit first, using one or some of the various options that have been mentioned in this thread. And then relying on the prolonged exposure to heat to kill off the mold/mildew and mycotoxins. It seems that no matter what you do, smoking it after mold/mildew has formed is a dicey proposition.
