Basically if you find a crop on public property, technically you have a right to whatever the fuck you want to it, they don't own it, public land=public crop. You as the grower don't like people stealing it, scare people the fuck away or don't be a stupid asshole and grow in the woods on public land.
Private property is another story, illegal crop or not, stealing it is wrong.
