Forget life's a bitch...Pollution IS A BITCH!!!

Hey folks, i'm back, after having to keep my head down or a while...Dang police choppers, and local busts.

Anyhoo, i dont know if any of you guys n gals remember that i was having some serious issues in my new grow room..Plants just got progressively worse, and either turned into unhealthy mutants, or just died in literally a day or so.
I dread to think about how many plants i've lost, and how much F'ing time i've wasted...PISSED.

Anyho, i did the usual thing, of going over every aspect of the grow room, to make sure humidity was perfect, temps were ideal, ph and nute levels were all sweet, plenty of fresh air circing blah blah......

And still things got progressively worse.
Some wks the damage would almost seem to have halted, but the next wk they would continue getting more n more unhealthy.

so i triple checked n checked the setup, all fine.

Then it dawned on me....
There is no difference between the room it was previously in, and the one it was now in...Except for the fact, that the current room, where i was having all the issues, has a major road outside it, with cars very close to the house, and it is often stationary out there too, so i took a gamble and junked the plants that were royally screwed(which is most of them) :(
and moved the setup back into the other side of the house, where there is open countryside..
and they have perked up like you wouldnt believe.

I guess all the carbon monoxide n the other shit engines puff out was way too high for the plants.
So yeah POLLUTION is a bitch.

I decided to put a very healthy pot plant in the window there, which gets good light all day, and sure as shit, the weeks that traffic had been esp bad,it got very sad looking...the weeks when traffic was light it, would seem to slowly perk up...then die off if it sucked again the following wk.

Anyone else had anything like this??

Go steady folks n enjoy the wkend

I have no experience with this personally, but it makes sense. I'm interested to hear if anyone else had noticed the same thing. Great thread.

While all this was going on in the new room, i was going crazy trying to figure out where the problem lay..beacuse all plants showed different symptoms.
If you look at one of those plant symptom charts, i probably had all of those issues and more.
Its a pity i didnt take any pics....but it was the last thing on my mind, and i was kinda embarrassed at the way things had deteriorated.

I have two houses; one in the big city and the other on an undisclosed island. After spending a few weeks in the city I start getting a little phlegmy, like back when I smoked. That car pollution is real. If you really wanted to use that room what about filtering the air first? Have a carbon filter at both ends?

picasso, i did have a filter on the inlet n outlet, but these grow tents got big ass vent holes in the sides.
I even tried to create a positive air pressure within the tent, by slowing the exhaust fan down a lil, and cranking the inlet fan up a coupla notches.
Still nothing.
But hey, theyre all growing merrily again now back in the big old 'drobe, so what ever it was that was upsetting my gals, can kiss my butt. :)

go steady :)
