Ok, I fully admit I'm an amateur "dj" and just do it for fun, but those into progressive/vocal trance, I just thought I'd share a couple of mixes I put together just in case there were others out there. A lot of the stuff I spin is inspired by people like Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond, Markus Schulz, Orbital, Chicane, Oceanlab, Cosmic Gate, and many others. Not sure where you live, but if it's in the US, chances are the music you're referring to is hardly inspiring. If you're serious about getting into the genre, I can think of no better way to absorb it than to tune into Armin Van Buuren's weekly podcast on itunes (free) and listen to that. He's the #1 ranked DJ in the world last two years running, and his sets are amazing. Also, for more free downloads, check out rapidshare.

Fuck yeah man! Love all those artists, and they've been used by many other really world renowned dj's in there sets too. Great taste dude!

Anytime. If you have any questions just let me know. I've been immersed in this genre basically since the early 90's. The first stuff that got me into it was old Brian Eno stuff, Tangerine Dream, and believe it or not, New Order's 1987 album- lol. Not what today I'd call trance, but electronica. Thankfully, that was the spark I needed and it created a monster.
