I need a controller that will allow me to run my temps up to 90°, theb turn my AC and exhaust on until theb temp gets down to 80°. Is there a certain one that can do this? All the ones I've seen only allow you to set a certain temp and then it maintains it. I don't have air cooled hoods so if I wanted to maintain 85 the AC would be on the whole time then I couldn't use my co2 cuz its getting sucked out even tho it is a dual hose. So does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

I'm not. I actually have no exhaust right now...but I figure if I can have an exhaust turn on and AC at the same time it will help cool the room faster? Idk...I just want the perfect environment and its being a pain in the ass! So any suggestions will help.

If your dead set on being able to run both. You could always look into a Ranco 2 stage thermostat ( depending on total amps). Which would allow you to have AC come on at 75 and then it if went to 80 then kick on the emergency exhaust. A 2 stage is $99. http://www.etcsupply.com/ranco-etc211000000-stage-p-105.html

Or you could do the same with 2 single stage thermostats, which are ruffl $50 each.

There are cheaper outlets just threw up those links for reference.
Wiring them up isn't hard, and there are videos online.

That's why I would get a controller. I think my AC is sucking out my co2 because it has an automatic dehumidifier in it.

I would consider this but I would still need something to shut off my co2 when the AC and fan turn on. That's why a controller I think is the solution, I just need one with a temperature range.

Dehumidifiers do not suck air out of the room. The dehumidify by passing the air in the room over the coils of the a/c. If something is sucking air out of your room then it's the a/c or a leak somewhere.

Agreed. I think your WAY better off fixing your leak or ditching that portable all together and getting a unit that's better suited to your needs.

Trying to balance all of this out is going to nickle and dime you past the price of doing it correctly. Dig into that portable and seal it up.

I just bought the sentential evc-2 controller and all my problems are solved. I set it to 83° with a 6°temperature dead band so it goes upon to 89.5° then kicks my co2 off and turns on the AC and 6"inline exhaust on the cieling. It takes 8-10 mins to cool it down to 82.5 then co2 comes back on and it takes about 30 mins to get back up to 89.5°. Co2 only kicks out for 1 min every 15 mins.

You are correct about the nickel and dime part...it was 500$a for the AC and 300$ for the controller. I could of got a mini split for that price.
