food dye changing the color of the plant

No it wont work as the roots filter out the food dye,
From memory fdd's experiment was cutting the plant at the stem
as if you were going to harvest and then put the plant in
some food dye and water, the plant changed colour from
using the water and dye mix.

So could it be done prior to manicuring/drying/curing and after chopping??
From memory that's when he did it.
Don't know if it will effect the taste etc. it's more like a party trick imo.
Hopefully fdd2blk will see your post and explain it
better than I can.

can u smoke it still even though it has food dye in it

NOOOOOO. god i wish FDD would have never posted that thread. no one reads enough of it to realize that it failed. yes if you chop your plants and stick the stalks in food coloring the buds will change color. when you smoke them you wont taste bud. just burnt food coloring. it tastes like shit.

Seriously you can do it if you'd like, but you'll wish you didn't after the first toke.
Heres an easy way to replicate the effect WITHOUT COMPROMISING TASTE:

Step 1: purchase staplegun and cellophane of preferred color.
Step 2: place cellophane over eyes and staple in place.
Step 3: enjoy.
