foliar feed and neem oil?

regrets

Is there any reason that I can't add the neem oil to my foliar feed mix and just kill two birds with one stone, or do I have to foliar feed and then spray with the neem oil later?

well just start foliar feeding them when you done with the treatment and make sure to do it right as the lights go out to prevent burn. dont spray your plants after week 4. good luck:joint::hump:

my question is can I just mix the neem oil in with the foliar feeding so I can spray just once instead of sparaying twice. I would assume I can unless somehow the nutrients would interfere with the neem in some way or vice versa.

In my experience mixing neem with fert: the burn problems seem to have a tendency to increase.
What I might do next watering (if your still in the first three weeks of flowering)
foliar spray with RO water, then fert, then Ro only on bottom stem part, then light neem oil dilution on same bottom stime part ( mean light baby), then Ro on stem/

I don't mix meem with fert. the above may seem a pain (it is) I have a lot of spray bottles (large scale would need 2 gal. + sprayers).

I get my plants somewhat immume to pests with occasional sprays of neem (always alot lighter than directions, less than half, and only two drops of Dr. Bonner's Magic Peppermint Soap per liter) during the first months of life.

neem after flowering seems to freak them out a bit (observation only no science lab tests yet).

The neem oil may act as a magnifiyer and increase nitrogen use.
Peace love and Dead Mats With neem.

thank you this is just the sort of thing I was looking for. +rep, apparently I've already given you rep too recently. Well theirs still rep for you in my heart even if RIU disapproves.

you can, but don't do it 3 wks. before harvest...unless you like smoking it!

Yes I am using Einstein oil, good to know people approve. So I now kinda have mixed answers here one person says I can mix and one that says I can't. I generally spray the bottoms shortly before lights out and then hop in a few minutes after lights out to do a big spray of the tops so as to avoid light burn and because one of my lamps doesn't have a glass lens currently and I don't want to blow the bulb. No I haven't heard of Azatrol Doc but I'm sure you can open my eyes once again, let me know if you would mind a few PM's cuz I would love to pick your brain every once and a while, you seem to have so much worthwhile info. Thanks again for all the elp guys, and if anyone has a tie breaker on the answer to my original question here that would be great, I'm not lazy so I don't mind either way.

As you know the neem oil works good---I use the stuff twice a week(1 and a 1/2 tbs plus 1 tbs ivory or Palmolive dish soap per litre ph'd to 6.3).
Back to why your question is not an easy one. 1. cold pressed neem that is used in the best neem products(don't use versions that heat treated) has a main natural ingredient in it( azadirachtin). The problem as you know is that by adding other chemicals to it could change or negate the effect----but-----You could run a test-----I would try "thrive alive w/b"---this stuff is magic and natural sea kelp with a very balanced profile---one of my fav products and******TA/wB*******has suspended particles in it that puncture and break open the soft-tissue-body spider mite. This stuff does so many great things!!!

I don't have all the answer and I'm still learning new stuff every day but if you want to share some info that's great.

I usually wave the flag for Neem Oil use whenever the topic comes up, but I am also a little freaked out by using it during flowering...especially when there isn't a problem. If you absolutely have to stick to a regimen, incorporate your nutrient foliar feeding into the "off" days when you don't use the Neem. And never spray within 2 weeks of harvest. If you must, push your harvest date back some.

I'm not planning on using it after the next week or so and I figure I've got about 5 weeks left so I think I'm in the clear for that.

Every Grow different. Like the ballance idea with kelp.
I'm an air flow fanatic, my plants' leaves "move" and I live in a dry climate.
I only spray in the morning if I can help it. The night sprayings (in my case) seem to bring fungus, which brings fungus gnats, which bring spider mites.
I grow CFL and my plants are as close as possible to the lights, any change (too drastic) brings burning.
All good ideas posted, switch day thing will be tried my next grow fo sho".
Duing flowering I've seen a decrease in pests by spraying the outside of my pots and trays, surface bug repelant.

I use the organica brand of Neem Oil, comes in a clear sprayer and looks like nasty ass rootbeer float chunks in there
