fogponics/and dwc bubbleponics?

hey guys, i've finally decided to take the plunge and grow my own cannabis. got tired of shitty quality or absurd prices. i've been creeping around the forum for a while now and i have the basic gist of how growing works. i was planning on getting a grow tent big enough for two 40 gallon rubbermaid tubs, was gonna cut circles in the lids for 3" net pots, i think thats a reasonable size not sure, not sure how many per tub tho yet. i read that you just gotta support the stalks when they are taller. i am gonna use a 600watt bulb with switchable hps and mh. im not sure how to air cool the light can you hook up the carbon filter to it so it like sucks air from it?

i know 1000watt would be better but i wanna keep it more stealthy as it will be plugged into the wall. i dont wanna tip off the electric company. i figured the whole setup would be around 1000watts or so? until i get a bigger place and can afford a quiet generator then i can go all out. how many plants are recommended for a 600watt? i know i need a carbon filter for the smell and ventilation. but would i need another fan on the other side of the tent pushing air in?

i was thinking about combining the dwc bubbleponics at the bottom of the tub along with a fogger.

i got pretty interested after reading about foggers and how the roots would be hanging in cloud of moisture and nutrients that is easily absorbed by the roots and with the air bubbles providing extra oxygen, originally i was gonna buy a complete kit with like a flood table where the pots go but started thinking about a bubbleponics with a fogger would be better. i could feed the fogger through the lid of each container. as long as light doesnt get inside there shouldnt be any fungus on the roots? i could also get one of those formulas that protect against root rot and stuff as well. i was looking at fox farm nutrients for the plant and the hydroton clay rocks for the growing medium. i read to go with rapid rooters instead of rock wool for ph purposes and i would also have a basic ph test kit. are bloom stimulators any good?

also to make the bubbles i was looking at this air pump

http://www.atlantishydroponics.com/Submersible-and-Air-Pumps/EcoPlus-EcoPlus-Commercial-Air-Pump-7--2-80-Watts.asp

would it be powerful enough for two tubs. and air bubble question. would something like this be good for each tub

http://www.atlantishydroponics.com/Pump-Accessories-and-Vinyl-Tubing/Oxygen-Shield-Oxygen-Shield-3-Air-Diffuser-40-70-Gallon.asp

or is something like this better

http://www.atlantishydroponics.com/Pump-Accessories-and-Vinyl-Tubing/EcoPlus-Double-XL-Air-Diffuser.asp

also for cloning and seed germination would i need to buy something like this

http://www.atlantishydroponics.com/Plant-Propagation-Tools-and-Rooting-Solutions/Viagrow-Complete-Propagation-and-Cloning-Kit.asp

or could i just use the big rubbermaid setup. i kno the fogger would promote root growth but the net pots would be a little big for a little seed how would that work? i was reading about germination with paper towels but i figured there must be a more efficient way?

also on curing/drying. does anyone use a herb dryer or do you just like hang it and store it for it to cure. i was looking at this but not sure if it was worth the money i read that curing too fast can make it lose flavor and potency.

sorry for all the questions LOL. i just wanna learn as much as i can before i take the plunge. i dont want my babies dying on me :[ lol. thanks!

also i forgot about timers, how do you set those up or what do you reccommend to make it like an automatic setup. like turning on the fogger for a certain amount of time then turning it off, the lights i was planning on leavin them on 24/7 until it was time to bloom then i read 12/12?

actually i was reading up and i could use the fogger on a smaller container that i could use as a cloner/germinator with smaller little pots cut in :] but what kind of lighting is best for germination and cloning, could i place it inside the grow tent or would a 600watt light be too powerful, would i also need one of those humidity domes?

many hours of reading later.... i'll think i'll stick to a bubbleponic/drip system as the fogger would be quite a hassle as theres like no info on fogger setups. now to focus on creating a good bubbleponics system. i've pretty much found the answers to all my own questions so this thread doesnt really need to be open anymore lol. i'll start a grow journal once i got everything up and running.

Well you should get the basics down first with a simple grow in promix and buckets>>

but if you really wanna go hyrdo its a goood choice but you have to pay attention
fogponics is even sweeter so dont lose hope too quick!!!!! how big of plants do u want? r u growing sog or like 8 or less larger plants?
do not turn the lights on 24/7 I would recommend 18/6 you can get a timer at any hydroponics store or hardware store.
Those air pumps and air stones are overkill for that small of setup you would need lots of oxygen to your roots but thats still over kill
you do need good ventilation with a closet grow but a carbon filter is not absolutely necessary for it. as for smell, well if you smoke pot in and or around you living area i wouldnt woorry about too many smell probs until late in the grow.
with fogponics its very tricky to run with just fog especially to a beginner i would recommend using a one node fogger with a float** inside your container with the air pump/air stone inside of it too.

Jus a little info hope this helps

I dissagree on one thing, regardless of how large your setup is, or where it is in your house. YOUR CARBON FILTER should be one of the first kits you buy. unless you live in a state that med MJ is legal, dont risk it. I checked the local newspapers for the past five years where I live via google. all peppered around me are bust that came from police chasing a suspect, or on foot patrol, or riding with the windows down, and smelled a grow, followed thier nose and busted the op. and it didnt matter what size it was.

NO MATTER how many times you bake out your house, (if you do) growing buds are ALWAYS stronger in smell.
Dont wait until youre into flower before you get a filter. some strains stink during veg too!

Fan and filter were the FIRST peices of kit I bought. then lights, timers, buckets, tent, and nutes came .
as far as growing tho, no a carbon filter does nothing for you. But it will keep you from spending five to ten getting your choclate starfish pounded by a guy known as BIG HURT in the klink.

my two cents anyway.
and also , DONT VENT HOT AIR OUTSIDE A WINDOW.
