Flushing

So I run a system where I use 8 by 8 inch Rockwall cubes to grow and they sit in a covered 4 by 4 bin where I pump nutrients into but I do not drain. The plants soak up all the nutrients from the roots soaking in the bins. My question is when I flush i currently use a wand and spray on top of the cubes and after I'm done with hitting the cubes I suck out the excess water in the bins. Would it be better for me to pump the flush water into the bins and let the roots sit in the flush water or am I doing the right thing by sucking the water out of the bins?

If you are trying to flush your medium then removing the water would be the way to go or they will just suck up what you tried to flush out.

Since you’re flushing it’s necessary to get the high PPM solution away from the plant. The way you’re doing it seems fine. You could do it the pump way too but you’ll need to remove the solution after they soak for a bit.
How do they look? If they don’t look nute burned then you’re doing fine.

They look good. My ppms before were over 3000 and after 3 days of flushing meaning 3 times I flushed them the ppms are about 2200. When I did the flush this way at the end of my last harvest I flushed them 9 days straight to get the ppms around 250 on a 700 scale but it took 9 days.

That’s some PPM! I’m not a rock wool grower so I’m not really able to tell you if that’s super high in that medium or not. But it probably is. They’re not burning the leaves?
If they look good then shine on you crazy diamond.

Some of the leaves are Burning a little so ill drop my ml on the a and b for the final 2 weeks. I use the canna system and I usual do about 700 ml of a and b per 50 gallons

I’ve used the bio canna line outside once; not cheap to buy at all, but it seemed like a quality product. It was mostly a teas I think.
I’d be interested to see a pic of plants that are growing in that kind of PPM......
