Flushing with carbonated water

Just a quick question, but has anyone ever flushed with carbonated / sparkling water ? I've checked the ph, and its at 5.7 and in a warped sort of way my brain is justifying it. The last thing I need is to waster all the effort its taken.
Please advise.

You don't want carbon dioxide in the root zone ... roots like oxygen. You'd only be suffocating the plant for a coupla hours. cn
