Flushing promix (soilless) post grow for re-use

As the title states. I have two large blue Rubbermaid totes that store previously used promix. Now, I know if I flushed my plants perfectly after each grow and pulled out all the root material that the mix should be pretty flushed already. But while I do try and do that there are a lot of times where I cull seedlings and young plants in the veg stage and just dump the solo cups into the bins. I feel drilling any sort of holes in the totes and filling with water would result in too much mix seeping out and just generally causing a huge mess. I do buy new bales of mix but would like to get better at flushing it before using it again. Any thoughts or tips??? What’s the simplest easiest way to flush out nutes out that isn’t a nightmare to deal with?

thanks!
