Flush before flower

Hey all,

I'm going to set my plants into flowering this weekend or next (7-14 days). My plants got saw dust on them somehow So I'm going to wash them and flush the soil. Will the affect flowering at all?

Also, the next feeding would be with nutes. I planned on giving them Big Bloom at recomm that week. I've been using Grow Big/Big Bloom the entire cycle at recomm. What does everyone else do durning the switch from veg to flower?

I wouldn't wash them, especially if you're indoors. You'll get mold. Just shake em, or hell, smoke the saw dust. is that hickory, oak, or apple?

So today I started to flush my plants, but I was told that the water would come out yellow if there were salts, etc built up. I poured 2 Gal into my 5 Gal buckets and the water started to come out and it was clear; really clear. I decided to stop the flush. If it's clear is there any reason to dump the 10 Gal thru? Also, how does the plant not stay soggy. I let them drain for a long time (until they stopped leaking), but the soil is still very, very wet. lol I just don't want there to be problems from doing this :/

I see I'm too late, but I'll say it anyways. If you aren't having a problem why would you flush them? Sawdust seems like a bit of a silly problem to go to the point of flushing? Anyways, don't go by the color of the runoff. IMO thats bullsh!t. If you're going to flush, flush 2-3 times the pot size. (ex, 2 gal pot - 4 gal water.)

I had been having problems with some leaves yellowing and dieing (only certain leaves, as per other posts). Nothing I have tried has stopped the problem, and the pH of the soil was off. What is the harm of flushing when not needed? Should I flush again/finish flushing them?? I was afraid that this partial flush would move all the salts, etc to the bottom of the container. Any thoughts?

On another note, my plants seem to have loved the bath and flush. I washed most of the leaves one at a time with a spray bottle and wiped away the saw dust. Today they are very perky ;D
