flowering

I've been flowering now for 2 1/2 weeks, and the buds seem to be developing at an extremely slow rate. Room gets hot sometimes, ghetto set up and not good air circulation, but was pretty healthy all veg. about 4ft. This is my first time growing so I'm still learning a lot and they are just some cheap ass seeds but heres a pic. Please tell me if I should be worried. Or would love some tips to help bud faster.

Get some more ventilation in there.your plants need fresh air to breathe.Try to keep temps lower than 86.other than that you don't need to worry.

as barrywhitewidow(hahaj/k) said... plenty of circulation... give it a while n be patient as well... buds will/should start to bulk up bout 4 weeks into.. least that was my experience with my mango kush... also think bout adding sum sort of c02 supplement... cut the fans for maybe 20 minutes and get sum c02 in there for em.. just my 2 cents! hope it helped

Yeah thats what I was thinking too BlackFootJones. That plant is heavy on the Satvia side. Looks to me like it's going at it's normal rate for a Sativa. 2 and 1/2 weeks is nothing. Think about it. It takes time for a plant to even start flowering when you switch to 12/12. lets say a week to 10 days for that. So really it's been flowering a week.

i would just keep going as you are it looks healthy to me and its going to take a long time but its sativa so it will but should be worth it.

I'm at about the same time frame and think your bud sites look better than mine. I might think about tying some of the taller limbs over with twine depending on how tall you can stand them or want them to get. I have very little headroom in my closet. Wouldnt work to let one grow like it wanted. Looks good to me.

you can try putting chunks of dry ice in a cup of very cold water, it should give you more co2 = very good and should lower your temps a few degrees, not you would need to experiment and figure out the rate of decay of the dry ice, now this many seem annoying but it should not take you more then a few hours and this could increase your yield over the long run. weight a piece of dry ice and drop it in a cup of refrigerated water and see how long it takes to turn 100% to gas. This varies on your location and atmospheric conditions so have fun with your experiment and post your results and ill help you out if you need more help. Oh one more thing, ventilation is a good thing...your plants need fresh air and so do you so if you use the dry ice technique you shouldnt use too much in a confined space because exposure to higher levels of co2 is not good or a long period of time. Good luck and dry ice is cheap!

hey endogrowa... just curious... dry ice will store and keep easily in a freezer? n how cheap is cheap? cheaper then dripping vinegar into a jar of baking soda or powder... forgot which one... would dry ice produce more c02 then say yeast/sugar/water or vinegar/baking soda????

yeah that's looking pretty much pure sativa, on the bright side sativa does generally handle higher temps a little better, which may be a saving grace for you in a poorly cooled area.

Just switched to High pressure sodium like 4 days ago. Was doing metal halide before, 600w lamp. Roommate was tellin me he heard HPS was better for flowering. The color is like bright orange, I hate the color personally but w/e :P as long as it helps. Gonna get a stanley fan blower tomorrow apparently helps cool/dry the closet..idk ill keep u guys posted if ur interested in seein how it turns out. As always, tips/comments/criticisms very appreciated.

Temps in there got to about 110 fahrenheit! I freaked a bit... Working on adjusting the light higher to decrease temp.. hope the fan works too. Keep ya posted.

I have a very tall sativa that looks very much like yours. I'm in my 9th week of flowering and there are bud sites everywhere! But I still have a few more weeks to go, just be patient and you'll have a nice harvest.
