Flowering with Cree bulbs

Hey can't argue with that and .9/w is no bullshit. So congrats. And you didn't offend me by any chance if anything thought maybe I did. I definitely understand human perceived light vs plants, but if we see more the plant should see more as well. Though again there are tons of variables. I've got multiple degree ranging from chemistry, biology, to molecular pathology.

So curious because I see what you have in the corners. What's in the hood? Same thing or is that just capturing light? Now you got me wanting to search out differences in the 65 and 60 other than shape and perceived light angles.
The first post of this thread has a pic of the hood with 16 bulbs in it. I usually add a bulb in each corner for side lighting about half way through flower then add another to each corner when she starts filling in.

So 16 up top and 8 around corners in the end. So what roughly 228W or so. So you're pulling about 7oz at a time? If my stoned drunken mind is calculating right. LOL Not bad man, not bad. Some guys out there with HPS that can't pull that, shit I knew a guy that couldn't ever manage to pull that with a 600 for some damn reason. Maybe because he wouldn't listen to anything. Guy had this notion that you culd just put light on a pant, feed it and it would be badass. LMFAO

I actually now start flower with 12 in the hood then add the other 4 when she takes off.

Thanks P, when your brain gets messed with it affects everything and for a bonus the I V antibiotics and antivirals wiped out my digestive tract so I really do feel 10 years older. My sleep patterns even seem to have changed. MJ helps me sleep better and also helps with pain from my bad back, prescription pain meds never worked well for me but mj and alcohol work better on the pain but who wants to get drunk all the time and deal with hangovers.

I've got a new XGS that I'm going to play with adding the extra UVB,660 nm and 730 nm.

Hey Capt, can you get access to a high CBD strain?
Studies are showing CBD to be very restorative/regenerative.

Also, amazing grow =)

Man that sucks. But at least you're still here with us. Meningitis is some serious stuff. Do they have any idea what was the cause? Bacterial, viral? Pick it up some amoeba from a body of water? They put you on a bunch of probiotics now to try and reestablish your normal flora? Best of luck man.

What are you going to use for the 660 and 730 supplementation? Just specific monochromes?

I've got 5 Pennywise sprouted that should be sexed in a few more weeks that I'll be making oil out of for myself.

No idea where I got it from, thought it was a bad sinus infection but it got much worse very fast and I luckily went to the emergency room. Doc did a spinal in ER and told me it was lucky that I came in or I might have died. They could not culture mine so they had to treat me for both viral and bacterial, doc said they can't grow a culture about 20% of the time. I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks and the first 2 I showed very little improvement, really started to think I was checking out. They kept me for 2 1/2 weeks with no medical insurance,I improved enough in the last 3-4 days for them to send me home without worrying about me dropping dead and getting sued.I was in pretty rough shape when I went home. They gave me probiotics in the hospital and a script for more when I went home but my guts have never been the same since.

It's a long read but a lot of good info in this thread if you start at the beginning.

Captain, you may want to give this a go; http://www.giprohealth.com/giprostart.aspx
I make my own yogurt with their cultures and eat some every day. I let it drip through coffee filters overnight in the fridge and it comes out like cream cheese, only much better.
Yogurt makers are cheap and it's easy to make.
You can't buy this kind of yogurt in the grocery stores.
( I can't handle lactose, so I run the yogurt maker for at least 24 hrs. to get rid of most of the lactose. Letting it strain/drip also removes the last little bit of the lactose)
Google SCD yogurt for more info and cooking instructions.

Making your own yogurt is a great idea Ellydee^^^^.......you better not smoke cigs at ALL my friend, probably don't if you said you where healthy.

Also I would recommend you read about the health benefits of ingesting aloe/cinnamon===very good combo of anti-inflamatory/anti-fungal properties. Cinnamon has even shown to combat HIV effectively, but more studies are needed.

VERY IMPORTANT for us organic growers is that we don't breathe-in/ingest our powdered manures/guanos/frass/etc.. wear a mask and wash your hands after contact!!!!

100% vegan ferts is a safe alternative no doubt:)

Just ordered a 20 watt flood with all 660 nm deep red to go with my new XGS 190.
Have to say thank you for your input and glad to have you back, didn't know if it was a dead thread or not. A few of us kept bumping and banter up a bit ago, to keep it alive for bit: bondo, repo, 77, anyone else un-named...., glad to have the real thing.

Yogurt is the business. In fact read up on Bulgarian yogurt if you get a chance. It has been studied with health and aging effects in some of the remote mountains where they make it fresh to this day.....they even have their own strain of LAB [lactic acid bacteria] Bulgaricus spp.
The studies have reported unusual amounts of Bulgarians living well into older age as Centenarians. In fact fermented foods have a quite a historical trace of good healthy living in the ethnic societies that use rotting as a way of food preparation. We are spoiled, excuse the pun, and get crappy sterilized "fermented" food [i.e. sauerkraut] but real fermented foods are quite a trip.

Oh that XGS should be daggers, looking forward to seeing how it does!

:peace:

yeah, I still follow this thread, because it inspired what I'm doing now and it's working great for me. But I always felt like I was hijacking this thread and felt guilty posting off topic posts. ;)

bondo,if your here to learn from me or other contributors or to contribute yourself I don't mind any constructive or relevant mj or growing discussions. It's probable best to keep any "what I did with my buddies this weekend" or personal arguments out of the thread just to make it easier for somebody looking for info in this thread to find it.If something here helped you or if you found something with your grow that relates to here by all means post it here.Things around here seem to have devolved a little since I've been away, seems like there's more trolling, personal attacks and childish comments.I hope this thread stays useful for others to learn from.

Lookin nice there captain. Where did you find the floods?
The 730 nm floods I buy from growlightsource.com

The 660 nm floods are special order from ebay, ledgrowlightfactory store.
