Those are super sweet for 5 weeks, I'm prolly about 2 weeks behind you given the girls current state. They haven't been getting quite as much love and care as usual so last night I spoiled them with a good nutrient shower and turned the fan up on them. They are much more swollen today :)
My HO T5 grow is producing some really nice dense buds and I am only at the half way point. I run all 6500 in veg which is not very long then in flower I run a mixed spectrum of 3 reds to 1 blue bulb and that has worked out best for me so far. You need to keep the plants short and bushy SCROG style to maximize the light that gets to the top of the plant, tall plants just do produce as well with T5 due the intensity drop off that T5 has. It is a very good idea to add some side lighting and even under lighting when using T5 that way you get out light coverage. Pics of my T5 grow as of today.
View attachment 2684189View attachment 2684190 You can see in the second pic how I train that plant to stay short and bushy. It also helps that they are Indica dom. I have 3 other plants that stretched a bunch because they are more Sativa dom. View attachment 2684191 These ones are 6-8 inches taller that my Indicas.

what bulbs

the new 10000k

the facts i gave are correct with the info on the net .........if getting different results then fricken post then let them go into the masses and change the avgs .............but as of now what i said stands as the fact ...............before u insult ppl with names u do your research .......the facts that at hand my statement is true..... and if u are only using a T5 how can u know if they come out dencer or less dence ..........your statement has no value ....u have nothing to compare it too

using it right hahahahah.......hang it turn it on adjust so the light lvls are correct move it up as the plant grows to keep in normal light lvl (a child could do it )
1. 10000k? Not wattage man... that's a light spectrum. Has nothing to do with the density(as much). And that doesn't even exist.. good come back.
2. Alright bud.. get us that "Comparison" then. You obviously know a thread with the comparison of the equivalent plant age/pot size/etc. Yea right.
3. Using it right? Damn right using it right counts. He means filling in the canopy and using every available inch of light for the foliage of a plant.

Don't be an ass back to people, creates comments like these that make you look like the "child that could do it".
And if your perceiving that their disrespecting you, then ignore it and don't stoop to their level...
Peace out guys.. fuck all this fighting.

I have SCROG'd under T-5's and they did great but they never left the T-5's. One dose of HPS or Sunlight and they get addicted and stretch when put back under T-5's. Like someone said before the lower bud's on anything but a SCROG is airy popcorn.

The future is LEDs, and the future is here

After a couple years using HOT5s their intensity (lumen output) does not last anywhere near as long as advertised + quality bulbs average $25 + shipping and/or tax

Not wanting to buy more, last grow I started a tent with 4 @ 4ft 20w LED tubes (requires a minor rewire of the fixture) for flowering. I paid $35 per tube + shipping ($100 minimum). LEDs should last 5-10xs longer than HOT5s; they will lose ~ 10% after 5 years. AND no mercury vapors to worry about AND LED tubes are not delicate like HOT5s

You would think there's a big w differential, BUT, fluorescent bulbs light is 360*s, literally half is bounced off a reflector, how much loss I don't know, but only ~ 120*s is straight down, whereas LED tube light is 100% straight down

Thought you might want to see some bud pics using only 80w of tubes + ~ 25w of led globes under canopy. I'm guessing an additional 50-60w will pay huge dividends

By next flowering cycle I expect to add 2 @ 2 x 2 60w led panels, the next leap in led tech

dee tee nice looking plants, im impressed yeah I fucked around with cfl before , noticed the yield was 1/4 of what I usually would get from a 1000 watt hps. if that helps. what im messing with now, is using a 600 hps and using cfl 2700 k 2 lights for 6 plants, getting a massive yield return, so far nock on wood , also I will be finish the last 2 weeks off with a mh blue bulb, to get the quality higher,

I get on average 45 grams from autoflowers believe it or not. I use t5 lights but I'm thinking about making the switch to 400 watt hps and my bulbs. People bash t5 lamps but I had great results. Obviously they could be better but when you don't have the money and your growing four plants at a time it's a great option. 180 grams off a t5 harvest ain't that bad.

if you are seeing people with airy buds from T5 it is because they are not using enough light or using the light properly...

I still use HOT5 cause I own it, and tons of bulbs, but as those bulbs die out, not getting anymore. I will either sell my HOT5 Bad Boy, or convert it to accommodate led tubes. WTF, you say?

Well, I have been experimenting with led tubes, now into my second grow. Last grow I did not own them until 15 days into flower and still managed a pretty decent result.

This grow same strain under 432w of specialty aquarium bulbs is only ~ 20% bigger since adding the final 2 bulbs. (No need to blast plants with more photons than they can process, so I work up from 2-4-6 then all 8 bulbs).

When you look at the pics, keep in mind ~ 115W of normal LED A 19 globes + 72w of ww LED tubes

Drop by my thread for details

T5 ho lights will probably be for my vegging still and I'll bud with my 400watt hps. I use an led 120 watt right now with a two t12 lights to supplement my light for budding so I'm a believer in led lights. They will be far more dense with an hps light though. Then again I might just buy another tent and grow my auto flowers with t5's and grow my photoperiods with the hps.

Hey guys wee all on here to help each other lets keep it professional. I do like the t5 set up and I'm limited on space and ventilation as well I already bought a 4 foot 6 tube fixture with ho 6500 bulbs for veg. I have a grow room of 2x2x4 for both veg and flower. I'm buyin another 4 foot 8 tube fixture for flowering at the same diminsions. The reason being I don't want a high electric bill and my space is small. I like what I see and besides its gonna be on a 4 day perpetual so I can sacrifice a little weight for a cheaper electric bill and no heat or ventilation issues. I have a 70 com axial fan for ventilation and circulation in each room. I used to rock a couple of 1k hps's but that was defeating my purpose. I think t5 s are good for some applications like personal smoke. I'm not a commercial grower or anything

I'm using a 2 foot 8 bulb t5 should I change all my bulbs or just half at flowering time? And would it be better to get led bulbs and put in my t5 instead ?
