Flowering hempy dramas..

Hey growers. I’m coming to the end of my black domino (Indica) %100 perlite hempy grow and I’m having a drama. The MNSL seed bank says 8-10 weeks flowering. My calendar is at 9 weeks or 65 days. All 4 were showing sex before I flipped. A few days ago I noticed some amber trichomes on the front 2 plants. I decided I would flush them for a few days while I was away working. But continued feeding the back 2 plants 8/16 micro/bloom. I got home tonight ready to harvest and.... the trichomes look pretty much clear with a few milky but no amber. Looking back at the photos I took the ambers were on the sugar leaves not the buds. And now all 4 plants are throwing out white pistils everywhere. So I’ve jumped the gun and already started flushing the 2 with plain water. Until my USB microscope gets here I don’t have any good trichome pics, even tho I own 4-5 magnifying glasses/loupe/microscopes.

So my drama is should I continue flushing the 2? It’s only been since friday. Or should I go back to feeding them? And should I start flushing the other 2?

my next drama is. My GH micro I brought on eBay is stuck in postage somewhere cause of the coronavirus. And get anymore quickly. I still have plenty of GH bloom tho. And a full bottle of grow, Could I use them somehow? If need be?

looks like they were overfed along the way, water only should be fine from here on out. Definitely needs at least another week or 2 at least

Overfed a little but being my first hempy bucket grow I had some dramas with ph lockout all the time, I did my head in. So that’s why the burnt leaves.
So you think I should keep just plain watering the original 2. And start plain watering with the other 2?

i would flush the hempys with plain water for 12 hrs and start back on lighter nutes. don't starve them at the finish.

These were the old phones with some brown pistils and amber trichomes that made me think to start flushing.

i see you are using Lucas: cut them back to 4/8 or 5/10 for the rest of the grow.

I think it would be best to starve them if they still had some time to go. But if they need atleast 2 weeks I still have the drama of only having flora bloom and grow, but no micro. And some koolbloom dry. Is there any way I could use them to light feed them?

hmm, that is a pickle. you'll have to look at the bloom and grow; does either have N? and not having all those micro nutes might cause some issues too.

I started growing them using Lucas maxibloom. But up until 2/3 weeks ago I ran out of maxibloom but all of Australia is out of stock and no date on re stocking. So I had to change it to micro/bloom.. I had enough old micro and a new bottle of bloom to make 1 batch of nutes until my new bottle of micro arrived. But that was ment to be last Monday and it’s lost in the mail. So now I old have bloom. So I can’t really feed it 4/8 - 5/10 or anything until my micro shows

just a guess on my part but I would use just the grow. that's the best ratio IMO. hopefully the lack of micro nutes won't hurt for the last couple of weeks.

I’ll have to do some online research and see if there’s a ratio I can use the grow at instead of micro. I don’t have this trace elements I might be able to add?

does the grow have cal and mag? or do you have a bottle of cal/mg by chance? Grow plus Cal/Mg should get you by for 2 weeks

or can you get some GH floranova bloom? maybe Ionic Bloom? or maybe AN micro? or Cutting Edge Solutions Micro? or is the virus just got everything on slow down?

that micro mix says for soil or foliar only. i wouldn't foliar with flowers, you migth get bud rot and ruin everything.

I’m pretty sure I do have some calmag in the shed, it maybe enough, I know I have Epsom salts. The grow has some in it not sure if it’s enough tho?


the mail here in Aus has just seemed to stopped. I ordered the micro I’m missing 3 weeks ago was only ment to take 2-3 days to get to me but nothing has come. I’ve brought trimming scissors, shears for harvest but nothing has come. I brought a USB microscope that was ment to arrive last Thursday and still nothing. The place Has list it’s mind!

I ended up buying some micro off eBay again, the fastest I can get it here is Friday. So fingers crossed. So at my local hardware store they sell a couple of hydro nutrients now. So I ended up buying this. It’s the closest thing I could find to micro.

the label on the new stuff says full rate 10ml to 2L. Since I was growing using Lucas 8/16 should I try and feed the new stuff as Lucas Formula? 1-2 ratio? But aim for a lower ppm? Or should I just feed the 10ml - 2L?

Just so we are clear here those plants have 4ish weeks left gauranteed. They are still in full on flower production mode, and are showing no signs of maturity.

I would get back to feeding them. I would also get in there and clean out all the dead brown shriveled leaves before they start to cause rot.

Just so you know, epsom salt has no Ca, just Mg, and sulfur. That's actually why I use it. My water already has Ca, and so do a lot of amendments I've added. It's good stuff though.
