Hi,
got a few plants together but having trouble sexing them, from my research i have found that they could start showing signs in as little as 3 days but i have been flowering for 2 weeks and cannot recognize the sex of the plants.
Can anyone help me out? this is my first grow and i have gone for a cfl grow with 2 x 300w red spectrum cfl and 1 x 3001 blue spectrum cfl in my garage.

i will post some pictures asap.

many thanks people.

once you have pics up it will be much easier to tell if your plants are female or not. Females take longer to present so it might be a good thing its taking a couple weeks to show.

Got a few pictures but they are of a very poor quality, I am sure on 2 of the plants i have started to see 2 small white hairs on the base of some of the nodes, does this mean there female?
one of the plants also seems to have just 1 very very small ball but it could be a bunch of leaves as its only small.

cheers for the help, its my first grow and i am worried of getting more males than females, have been told i can keep hermies aslong as i keep on top of them.

different strains take different times, cfls are slower than hps, guess you got to look at 9 weeks plus for flowering all being well, can chop early but less weight.

cheers, will make sure they flower fully, i have vegged them for 5-6 weeks and apart from the sexing problems i had there looking healthier than ever and im impressed i have got this far with a few CFL's and a low budget.
The seeds are unknown seeds from a friend who usually grows every now and again, i think there a sativia plants due to the shape of the leaves.

used to use the enviros to grow, they do an ok job just seemed a bit slow, sativa can take longer

i have noticed a bit of a difference with speed compared to my friends large HPS grow but even if it takes longer it ends up being cheaper than a full hps set up.
this is my first grow, i did not have much money to start with so had to buy cfl's.

a 400 watt hps is around 85 squid plus say 65 for an inline fan, from that you could grow 6 plants weighing 6 oz minimum wet, minimum 9 dry, how much were the enviros?
i just cut 3 out of 6, 1 was 11 1/2 - 1 was 8 oz and 1 was 7 oz, hps really do make a big difference. but enviros are good for learning cause they are more forgiving.

I have probably spent well over £120 in enviro's, the bulbs are huge too, taking up a large portion of my total grow space, i pressume for a 400w HPS it would be much smaller.
I have no idea on yield but there are soooo many buds forming now, she seems to be going through flowering at a decent rate, have been using baby bio plant food/nutes for them.

yeah thats the other prob those lights are bulky and you have to keep them close which makes for work. had some great bud off them though. get yourself some biobizz organic when you can, good stuff
