flowering for 71 days why ?

ok i've got two nirvana bubblelisus and they have been in flower for 71 days is this normal i have checked the tich and they are not amber yet why is this taking so long. sorry can not take pics but one plant is a lime green with mosly white hair the other has mosly if not all brown hair can anyone tell me whats going on!! thanks
 
71 days from first day of 12/12 or 71 days since you saw pistils growing? There is a huge difference in the two. Personally I don't start counting days until I have confirmed pistils growing out. This can take anywhere from 3-15 days to happen that's why it matters when you started counting.
 
oh i didnt know that thanks 71 days from 12/12 veged just one week so i only count when pistils shows agian thanks
 
i got a bubblelicious that i think might take that long. it is only at 6 weeks, but it is looking like a long finisher. my other one will take 8 weeks max.
 
Not growing this strain, but i'm at the breeders 'book' of 56 days for a nl#5, still not there by the trics. The breeder guideline was based on plants grown under 400 watt hps. I'm using smaller wattage cfl's. Many factors can influence maturation rate.
 
so do i only count flowering time when i see pistils or when i go 12/12 if its from pistils then i have to recount my day any help would be nice thanks
 
LMAO moob mistakes are always funny, i don;t even countr flower day's, flowering is anywhere from 7 weeks to 15 weeks, i go by trichs.
 
i know i look at my trichs every other day clear and cloudy right now [more cloudy] just trying to feggure out for next grow when to look for amber so i need to know if you count form pistils or 12/12
 
i have several plants under 400 hps and im in 9 going onto 10 weeks all indicas too prob go til maybe 11 weeks but i think heat is a factor its summer in socal and in the inland its in the 100s eveyday makes temps control difficult
 
thanks strangerdude i will harvest by trichs not days! how long does it take the trichs to turn from cloudy to amber? also thanks to you too dhhbomb i have a aircondisioner in my grow room to reg the temp
 
you guys have to take into account that those times the breeders give you are grown under optimal conditions with no stunted growth.

trichs tell you when they're done..not some breeders book

You only vegged your seeds / seedlings for one week before you started flowering ?

If so your flowering prematurely.

If your vegging plant is Sexually Immature and you put it into flower two things will happen.

It will take the plant longer to flower, because the hormone levels are not sufficient.

And you will not have as vigorous flowering that you would with a mature plant / clone.
 
xare you might be right an on my first grow i veged for 4 weeks but this grow i was a week in veg and then i seen the thread 12/12 from seed club and it seems to work well mybe not as big of yield but a lot faster being i just wont personal smoke and i have a small grow cabinet seem right for me.[check it out a good read randyrocket started it i thinks its in the indoor section] just wondering about the cloudy to amber thing thanks for reply though
 
if its a sativa they go at a sloths pace patience patience its a waiting game just watch the triches and your plant in general and she will tell you when ready
