Flowering and Nutrients

Hi everyone,
Well I am 3" to 4" from flowering, and was told to switch from a NO2 (Nitrogen) nutrient to a P (Phosphate) nutrient when I start to flower. So I just bought this plant food from Ferti-lome called Blooming and Rooting Soluable Plant Food. The P percentage is 59%, NO2 is 9%, K20 is 8% or rated 9-59-8 on the bottle.... My question is: is the P level too high? Will I burn my babies??? It's better to know before I put it on them...

Thanks

Ok, Thanks. Does anyone know the maximum amount of P that I should use? I thought 59% would do wonders for my babies or burn the crap out of them... lol

Plant foods are measured in an N-P-K format
N is Nitrogen
P is Phosphorus
K is Potassium

A 15-15-15 plant food contains:

15% Nitrogen
15% Phosphorus
15% Potassium

A 20-10-10 plant food contains:
20% Nitrogen
10% Phosphorus
10% Potassium

A minimal amount (or no) fertilizer should be added to the water for the first week or two. Then use a 50% solution for two weeks, then go to a 100% solution.

Do not give your plants extra fertilizer thinking it will make them grow faster. Too much will kill your plants. If you under fertilize, plants will take longer to grow but will not die. Follow the mixing instructions on the package, if you aren't sure, use less rather than more.

Growing good Bud is an art - Smile.

Hope this helps....good luck

59%?? That sounds like a lot. I have a bottle of flora nova bloom sitting in front of me and it's 4-8-7

Well I just switched to flowering today :) YEAH!!!! ok, my old nutes (that I just put on the plants after I transplanted to 2 gal about a week ago) is 16-9-11. Is it ok to use the N rich nutes with the high (1/2 strength) P? I mean I won't put any more of the high N on them, but I sort of have to leave it there now that I put it there and watered them and all. As per your suggestion Kitty, I will wait 2 weeks and start the high P nutes at 1/2 strength, maybe 1/4. Will they have a bad effect with the 16% N nutes?

2 months from now I am done :) Lol, does this make any sense?

Thanks for helping a noob out :)

Flowering 1 day and it looks like they are showing sex already!!! is that possible or wishful thinking? They were feminized seeds, but it looks like 2 little pistols are shooting out from the stem on the nodes.... sweet
