I've had 10 nice successful grows flowered each at 21 inches and maxed to 58 inches after harvest. If I were You I were you I would invest 32 bux for 1 5000kelvin Red/Blue 7000Lumens 105w ( http://tinyurl.com/a8wwuw) I use 2 on 1 plant because it gives me Massive buds BUT My friend says you can grow 4 plants with just 1. I also use Open sesame, beastie bloomz and cha ching for my 3 flowering stages. Trust me You will get dank for cheap bux from what I'm telling you each bulb is equvilent to a 500w light meaning yes it's just as powerful as a cheap HPS with less heat and electric.

a large % of the population here are mentally ill, when their level of rage builds up to unbearable they use newbies to dump their rage out on. :wall:
Real funny. (sarcasm)

No it's because HPS is in fact superior in every way and the best light for flowering in almost any size grow large or small.

And yes I have used cfl's within the last year in fact and every other light there is to be had other than t5's. (20 years experience at this point)

I certainly wasn't forcing my opinion on anyone. I merely just said consider...

I prefer to even veg with hps over cfl. The only thing I like the cfl's for over hps is rooting clones.

Anway I didn't come into a cfl forum to argue and am not interested in any debate on the subject so I hope we'll just leave it at that and leave the man his thread. If anyone wants to debate me on the subject I'll take it on in the main forum though.

PEOPLE PEOPLE Quit talking about HPS in this forum that is posted in the CFL section for a reason. I know there good but there's differences when it comes to cfl'swe do have many advantages plus if you use the right lights you'll get smelly good compact nug STILL.

Out of Ur 2 plants using (4) 42w cfl's how much bud did U get dry wgt
I yielded about 3/4 ounce to an ounce off of an 18 inch plant. I harvested a little at a time because the strain I was growing didn't mature evenly. That bud pic in the second post on this thread was 5 grams give or take, I can't remember exactly. Here's another pic, this time a live shot. A little burnt I know, it was my first grow...

Nice nugs...But like i said before i'm still going to use cfl's for my grows....First 2-3 weeks of veg CFL's then HPS for the rest of the way...I think CFL's are great and i still think it's crazy that you can go to HD or Lowes and get "grow lights"...But now that i have cash i will be going with 150-250 HPS after 2-3 weeks of veg....
