flowering a young plant

I have a plant grown from seed which appears to be mostly sativa. Its about 9" tall, 7 nodes high, 5 weeks old and already growing clusters of pistles at each node. The plant hasn't yet filled out to the size I want it but it's shown sex so clearly I'm wondering if I should start 12/12. any advice appreciated. cheers.

well yeah it must've, it started showing sex while it was about 3" tall and its been on a cycle of more or less 16hrs light a day i've had problems with timers failing on me and its been exposed to room lighting from time to time but its never had less than 16hrs a day, certainly nothing close to 12/12

id wait untill a foot tall but thats just me

right, here are a few pics.
the flower's been under a 600w HPS pretty much the whole cycle I'm thinking she's sativa just by the leaf shape and that she's grown up more than out, first time grower so i'm no expert.

those dont look like they will hold much weight.
