flowering a mother-not just yet!

this is designed toward getting advice on trimming/training/pruning mother plants. i have a mom that im done taking clones from (no more room and started another mom), she is fuckin huge. roughly 2.5' Lx2.5' Wx3' H. i ordered another 400w hps just for her. she will be solo on this run. i have done some minor lst to her lower branches and trimmed up 2 inch for access to the stalk. other than that, she is just one big densely fill out plant. how can i modify her to get the most out of her in the end. remember, shes still in veg and using 2x the recommended nute dose.
some other facts:
nirvana white widow strain
short pheno that bushed.

also, i dont really want a fuckin 6' plant inside my house, so it would be helpful to be able to prevent this.

View attachment 1399730this ones going to the bud room soon to, as for training it I cut most of the lower off and I pull my clones of the top, lot of peeps disagree with that
but it works for me, and keeping her from geting to tall, this one close to 6 foot and geting root bound so time to flower

ive never had a mother before, but im sure they double in size just like the rest when put in flowering. but im wondering if the strain can restrict the height. ww is a medium size plant so i figured 6' wouldnt classify as medium, but then again, those outdoor strain can double that.

and this bastard will be 6'. so i put it under its own 400w hps, trimmed the hell out of it taking some clones from the iffy lower branches (might get enough light, might not). i cut 4" off the top which made the bottom grow up and the branches that were around the top filled in the hole. im starting to add bloom nutes, but still have it under 24h light. i want it to adjust from all the cutting and different light and nutes. whatcha think?Photo 97.jpgPhoto 98.jpgPhoto 95.jpg

Can't flower that outdoors? What a shame, it's a magnificent plant.

In that case, I would hack off the top half and take some monster clones.

Then, let the mom sit in veg for awhile to recover and start shooting up loads of new tops. Prune and thin these how you desire. I like 4 colas per square foot as an absolute max.

After however long you want (I recommended a month+) you can put the much shorter mother plant into flower. Mega SoG. At this point the monster clones would be rooted and could go in the same flowering room with her.

You lose time, but not too much yield if any. Height wouldn't be an issue, and you could keep the light low enough to her canopy for the clones to get enough light for decent yield.

EDIT: Post 2,000 - Hope it helped? :leaf:
