Flourescent help

Hi, first of all im a rookie grower.
im just wondering,i have a good light output flourescent light, but its battery powered,,can i still use it, it has a big flourescent tube in it,,:wall:

We'll need more information to give you a good answer. Does it say anywhere on the light what the color temperature is (like 2700k or 6500k?) and does it say how many watts it uses? How many plants would this light be used for?

it really doesnt say
its just a 1 ft flourescent tube light
i think im gonna just try it with a couple regular seeds to test it out,

Well just to give you a heads up your light might work ok for a bit, but probly only for one plant and once it starts to get bigger you'll need more light. It also depends what spectrum of light its giving off. You'll want 6500k (aka cool white) for veg for best results. Hope that helps....
