Florida Growers, Help?

Dear,
Florida growers

I want to start growing this year but I'm not sure when. I live in centeral Florida. It still gets to about freezing in the mornings but during the day, it heats up to about 70. ALSO- My grow area was made last year. It's been about 6 months since I went back there and I think someone may have been there. I looked at some guides saying to use coins on a rock (Almost no rocks in Florida) Or a compass. I really need tips on how to spot if someone has been going to my grow. But keep it on the cheap please. :)

Thanks so much!

One last thing to add, I need to build a green roof. Not a house because it stays fairly warm during the summer, but it rains HARD. But i need plans on how to build a cheap one. Dont want to loose money if someone comes along and takes it.

They can handle the rain, by the time they start flowering rainy season is over. Your harvest times are not until November, it's the tropical systems that are more of a concern due to wind. Forget about the roof, with that sandy soil they need every drop.

As for detection, I place branches and other natural barriers in certain positions that have to be moved to reach the plants. People almost never think about placing them back, and even if they do it's never the way I left it. Or, if you're ballsy you can use 5 gals painted green near gator infested areas.
