basically it look impressive, but when I come to experiment i found none to very low benefits of kelp in hydro except maybe adding some trace element and microbial food. Maybe at a very large dosage , kelp benefits are more obv but again, I'm not a fan. There's too much variable we cannot control.

It's not harmfull or at least, it's safe to use , but there's absolutely no reason to buy kelps for your nutrients solutions except if you want spend money.

'Organic-ish' additives containing kelp and humics/fulvics can be beneficial in hydro increasing aroma and flavor. I have not seen a benefit in promix. So in hydro, I keep the mineral salts simple and have always added something 'organic-ish' like florablend, floralicious plus or floralicious as a compliment. It makes enough of a difference that you'd never be able to tell the meds were hydroponically grown. YMMV.

I'm gonna disagree on the whole kelp not being beneficial in promix statement. In my experience I noticed that i get tighter nodal spacing and buds tend to stack up the stem more often when using high amounts of kelp.

That being said there are better and cheaper alternatives then Liquid Karma when wanting to incorporate humics and kelp into your regimen,

Where is your kelp coming from? My only source is whatever amount is contained in those GH products I listed above. Maybe I needed more to see the benefits that you are?

A few different things I use have it in there, but I used to just go heavy on maxicrop in my teas, which is where I first noticed the benefits.

I am a firm believer in kelp...using it give a nice healthy plant with great growth and tight node spacing...I buy 50 pound bags of kelp to ammend my soil..and also gallons of Neptune kelp...when I water with no nutes....I add kelp to the water,,,,and when making teas I add kelp meal....I spray plants with kelp water...kelp has just to many good things about it and in it..its the fastest growing plant also...so adding them hormones to your plants helps....

when I pop seeds or doing clones..I mix a water kelp solution.. I germ in Root Riot cubes and also clone in them...i soak in a kelp water mix and have great success doing so...

Well humic is a big source of food for beneficial microbes especially in dirt aka Pro Mix/Sunshine/Peat/etc...

I used kelp and I never noticed difference of flavor and aroma between my hydro and my promix grown plants. Some of my best buds were made in hydro and the smell was INTENSE.So strong that I couldn't wear it on me lol.I think if yours buds lack of flavor/aroma , the cause is generally ; genetic or nutrients

the only things I saw when i used kelp is the '' hormone activity,'' but i didnt like because it's not constant and you cannot control the dosage of hormone so if you give them too much, they will stretch and branch like crazy. One week it could be day and night and the next week no difference. The root application was definetely less effective than foliar application.

I used canna rhyzotonic(ascophylum) and b'cuzz stimulator( mix of ascophylum and laminaria), both had similar result.

Used in last weeks of flower can harm your plants.

I am in coco and noticed my flavor seemed shallow and not as robust and full bodied as I had hoped. I started using Bio-Ag FulPower Humic Acid and GrowMore Seaweed Extract (Kelp) and flavor and aroma improved immensely! Kelp is AWESOME at lowering ph, and will be using kelp and humic acid in every grow just because of the feed back from patients that noticed a difference.

Liquid karma is too dirty for hydro and does nothing in the dirt. Floralicious plus does nothing in the dirt but I do find a few benefits when used in a hydro system.
Old thread but I wanted to amend this post because after a second visit to Floralicious Plus and promix, I do think it helps with aroma and flavor. Not as much as in hydro but as of recent I'm seeing an improvement.

What kind of measurements are you using this and at what stages?

I litaraly just spent an hour trying to set up an account for this site on my phone just to say i used to think the people here knew something lol, how can one even use nutes like that bloom. ... .Bloom florablend, and the ones saying florablend or floraliciuos plus dose nothing must have never used the stuff or are idiots and experimented on two different strains, i know the bloom bloom thing is some peoples thing but it wont make them bud faster and anyone saying it is good knows nothing, .... Why would a leading manufacture make a 3 part nute and want consumers to use only 2 of the essential building blocks of their nute line just buy their 2 part ffs or do plants just not need nitrogen. Lol pleas do not answer that for the love of humanity, anyway i have been growing for 35 years and have my horticulture degree i can say without a doubt that seaweed/kelp is amazing for plants and i have been using florablend and floraliciuos plus for a long time grew many plants in my day. . .. Many and you can tell the plants love the stuff maybe you guys need to do it for the love and not the money to have a true understanding i have done tests with growing the same strains seed/clones many times to see the results as floraliciuos plus is an arm and leg and its worth it how to do teasting of a single nute feed a control plant meaning giving it absolutely nothing then the other with the nute you want to test do it over a few times on clones and on seed and youll see for yourself if it did nothing simple nothing would happen was that the case? Hell no i now use both florablend and floraliciuos plus on everything just like that mikes read hot sauce woman but remember if you wanna do experiment use the 3 block nute at the same time on thd control not just bloom or just grow or just micro the point of the 3 part is to give you controle not expecting you to remove one or the other. And im old and on a phone so expect shitty autocorrect to kick in sometimes and not do it damn job..... Anyway last grow 3.4 pounds in a 4x4 secret jardin 2x hlg 550's in autopots bluegod by Jordan of the islands genetics. And one 4x4 1 hlg 550 autopots but get this its filius blue peppers and scorpions.
