Flooring people: Luxury Vinyl Plank vs Porcelain Marble Look Floor for entry way

So I'm in Ny when it gets snowy and wet. I'm trying to figure out what to put down in my 25 sq foot entry way. I'm not doing it a friend is doing it and he is pretty experienced. I don't want to run into problems putting the flooring down so I want to just go over my old vinyl flooring. Also I'm worried about it being slippery with water bc its an entry way. Thoughts? Both are about $3 a sq foot. Also even though this is an entry way its a low traffic area.

Don't go with pre-lubed ones.....

LOL well what did your friend recommend.......
Which one? One says up, one says down. Everyone has an opinion and they are all doing something wrong... I've seen bad contracting like 4 out of 6 times in my household.

A porcelain floor tile will offer more grip than vinyl. But the time and mess to do it properly is no where in the same ball park. I mean I I can do a 25sqf floor in one hour with lvp and that’s only because you have to give the glue 45 minutes to clear.

Lokie’s mosaic is the way to go.
