Flood Table Lower than Res???? Advice Needed!!!

yea those controllers work great when you need your res at the same level as your table... it might be your only option, that or you could get a large concrete mixing tray i believe they hold about 35 to 40 gallons of water and are only bout 1' tall, but then it would be a good idea to have a secondary up higher with a float valve cause you will run out of water fast.. here is what i did with mine cause i had vertical issues...

Wish this was an option for me but it is not...love the idea though.

EDIT: finding a low profile tray (< 1') may be worth looking into.

couldn't you just put another tray the same size as yours right under it and run it as the res. so you would ony have the 8" tall tray/res. the another tray right on top of it 16" to the top of your flood trable

Well, I would like the res to hold more water than the table ideally.

On the other hand I did find this tank that would possible work. It is 60 gallon, $60 and 14 inches high and can be purchased local to me. If I wanted to make it slightly lower I could probably take my grinder and take a few inches off it too.

Use one of these then do a 3x3 tray above that. or use a 4x6 res and a 4x4 table.

sorry i know its not really what your aiming for, but going your direction there are many possibilities of floods, its not a perfect world. flood damage aint cheap. ask me how i know.

There's a place you can order the components needed to make controller like the one used in the CAP unit, its called "Aquahub". It costs about $100. There's no check valve needed because the intake/outtake hoses are elevated above the height of the res (gravity won't let it). Check it out.

This is one of the projects rolling around in my head, not sure if i want to tackle it for the next grow or wait. Did you ever figure out how you are going to do this setup MedHeadGRWR?
