Ok, so here it goes.
I just finished building my first grow room out of a bathroom that is attached to my man cave. It took a few months to get it right and to buy all the equipment I thought that I might need. Here is a list of some of the gear.
2x Lumatek 1000w ballasts
2x 8 hoods, cooled by 8 fan installed in the ceiling
Carbon filter on a 4 fan to get the air out
Passive intake system near the floor attached to the man cave with a hepa-filter
2x 3x4 flood and drain tables
1x 70 gal rez
1x oscillating fan
1x Air stone in the rez
I also got some eqip to clone when it is time, ie a small fluorescent light kit and starter plugs.
If anyone has any questions on the set up of eqip or anything hit me up, also advise on things I may need or need to do would be great.

I just went to the Seattle Cannabis Farmers Market on Sunday and bought some great looking clones that are all about 8 weeks old with excellent roots.
I purchased 12 clones for $200. Here is what I bought home. 6x Purple Haze, 2x Orange Blossom, 3x Sour Diesel, 1x Permafrost.
I soaked my 8 rockwool cubes in a light nute solution of 250ppm and a pH of 5.5.
After washing the dirt off the clones I transplanted them into my grow room. I have the lights going 24/7, and the beds flood twice a day for 15 min each. My rez is at pH 5.7 with 400 ppm of nutes. BTW I am using General Hydroponics nutrients for this grow.

Nice setup. You put some thought and work into that. Even a fire extinguisher (sorry sp) in there. Be preprared for your mancave to stank....it can't be helped. Looks like a cool grow though man.

Thanks bro, it did take some time/effort and a bit of money to get it all just right. I am hoping that the room won’t stink too badly. I do have the carbon filter drawing air out of the room and into the attic. So theoretically it won’t stink too badly, but this is my first medical grow so it is all theory at this point and no real world experience.

The only thing I would add is some Block Covers to keep algea off your blocks. I use the 6" blocks. looking forward to seeing your results using the Big Mommas. My table looks just like yours but it is a 2' x 4' table.
I have thought about the block covers, I may pick some up this week some time. Have you had any problems related to using them? Also do you use them through the entire cycle?

Ok, everything seems to be going ok after the transplant, I do have a few clones looking a bit droopy, I dont know what could cause this. Any ideas? I hope they perk up in a few days. Also I have been lowering my lights a little bit every day so eventually it will be very close to the plants. I dont want to lower them too fast so the plants dont get freaked out.
Here is the current forecast

I'd bet money the droop is from the shock of being removed from their prior homes. I'd hook em up with some mycogrow & either house & garden roots excellurator or humboldt roots. get that rhizo healthy again... I know your ppm is on the low side But I'd flush with RO water to be safe.. looks alot like over fert too...

Thanks for the advice, I am going to hit the hydroponic store up either tonight or tomorrow and will give that stuff a try.

im normaly the first to tell noobs with lots of equipment to return most of it and start small.
for a first time grower, you may be a bit over your head but your setup is super clean so it looks like you did a ton of more research then 99% of the people on here
your plants prob just got a little shock, either that or your cubes are sucking in too much water. Those are BIG cubes for a small root system - i would generally put clones that size in a smaller cube, then that on top of the bigger cube.
Remember, rockwool holds A LOT of water. If you see continuous dropping for a week or so, work on your flood frequency.
Other than that, your PH and EC look solid, i would even bump the ppm to 600.
also, did you pre-treat your cubes?

I have done a lot of research but not much actual practice so this grow will be interesting to say the least. I do regret buying the 8” cubes, next time I will buy the 6” for sure. I did presoak the cubes in a pH5.5 250ppm solution. The tops part of the cubes are a little damp to the touch and the bottoms are still fairly soaked after 12 hours, should I cut back to one flood a day or sick with two?
Also in a week or two when I clean out the nute take I will bump it up to about 550ppm and see how they do.

I agree with Bobby, 12 drops of roots excel per gallon to get those roots going. I use hugo blocks, clones go straight in them. 1 1/2 weeks later the Hugo's are full of roots, then to slabs they go, and straight to flower.
Your humidity is low as well, spray them with plain RO twice a day, and yes pick up some hugo block covers, I keep mine in place with toothpicks.

I just turned down the about of air I suck out of the room to raise the humidity and I will cut back to one flood a day. What do you mean by spray them with “plain RO”, sorry for my noobishness but I haven’t heard that before.

seems to me you are over flooding those big ass cubes
since there is no root growth in there, there is nothing to drink the absorbed water 
try going once a day, or even once every other day. lower the the frequency until you see the plants perk up and keep it that way util u see them drooping in between watering. Once you see this, it is time to up the feed schedule!
Just take deep breaths and take it easy. I know they look fragile, but these things can handle ALOT of abuse. I really started to learn how to read the plants by me 3rd grow, and as long as you have the patience and dedication, you will be off to a great start

I did just turn the flood down to once a day and will be getting some block covers and root aid tonight as well.

now i would say water much less looks like over watering this is why i dont like rw blocks straight on a tray i like to flood much more often than they will allow. I have tried it and didnt like it at all i like using 6x6x7 square pots with a rapid rooter straight to hydroton able to flood more frequently and thats just my preference its allot harder to over water with hydroton. but hell if you get it dialed in it can work great. these are what my pots look like anyway keep it up and +rep for the room my friend looks great.

Thanks for the advice and the rep! Same goes for your grow room! I think next time I will either use rockwool slabs or the 6” cubes not sure yet. I hastily bought my rockwool without much research and buy time I figured out what I wanted to do it was too late. I figure I spent the money on them I might as well use em. What’s the worst that could happen right…..
